A Health Promoting Device
There is provided a health promoting device (10) which consists of a bag (11) having a sealed cavity (13) which is at least partly filled with soapstone powder. The bag may be made of an elastomer material.
WATER ABSORBENT RESIN POWDER FOR HEAT-GENERATING ELEMENT COMPOSITION, AND HEAT-GENERATING ELEMENT COMPOSITION
An object of the present invention is to provide a water absorbent resin powder for a heat-generating element composition, which suppresses the generation of the aggregates derived from the water absorbent resin and the adhesion of the water absorbent resin in the production of a heat-generating element composition.
A present inventive water absorbent resin powder for a heat-generating element composition includes polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water absorbent resin powder which have a bulk specific gravity (specified by JIS K3362) of 0.630 g/cm.sup.3 or less, fluid retention capacity without load (CRC) for a 0.9% by weight aqueous solution of sodium chloride (specified by ERT441.01-2) of 32.0 g/g or less, a weight-average particle diameter (specified by sieve classification) of 250 μm or more, and an amount of a residual glycidyl-based crosslinking agent of 10 ppm or less.
Cold and Hot Compress Product and Preparation Method Therefor
A preparation method includes the following steps. Step 1: weighing the following raw materials by weight percentages: 5%-25% of acrylamide, 1%-10% of methylol acrylamide, 15-35% of glycerol, 0.1%-1% of sodium chloride, and 30%-50% of water; step 2: firstly adding water and glycerol to a reaction kettle, then adding acrylamide, methylol acrylamide and sodium chloride, and then stirring same together for 12-36 hours to obtain a stock material; step 3: filling the stock material in an outer bag, and pressing the outer bag containing the stock material with a flat weight for 30 to 180 minutes to form an elastic gel body in the outer bag; step 4: removing the outer bag and wrapping the elastic gel body with a wrapping cloth, and edge-binding the wrapping cloth along the shape of the elastic gel body.
Portable therapeutic system using hot or cold temperature
Disclosed is a system which employs a cooling or heating pad which is preferably a thin, flexible pad for placement at an intended area of the body. The pad includes a layer of highly conductive material which can be cooled or heated using a portable source of heat or cold material delivered to the conductive material by a delivery conduit. Valves can be included to regulate flow of the cooling or heating material from the source to the pad. The system can also include a dual-chambered canister for containing two different media for heating, cooling or for alternating heating and cooling the pad.
Multilayer film for disposable body warmer outer bag, and disposable body warmer
To provide a multilayer film for a disposable body warmer outer bag, and a disposable body warmer that are excellent in gas barrier property which inhibits permeation of oxygen gas, water vapor and the like, and that can allow swelling due to hydrogen gas generated during a storage period to be prevented. In a disposable body warmer outer bag formed from a multilayer film including a sealant layer 10 and a barrier layer 20, the sealant layer 10 and the barrier layer 20 serve as an inner surface and an outer surface of the outer bag, respectively. The sealant layer 10 includes a vapor-deposited layer 12 made by vapor-depositing a metal or metal oxide on at least one surface (upper portion in FIG. 1) of a thermal fusible resin substrate 11. The barrier layer 20 includes a polyvinylidene chloride layer 22 made by coating at least one surface (lower portion in FIG. 1) of a heat-resistant resin substrate 21 with polyvinylidene chloride.
CONFORMING HEATING PAD
The present disclosure is directed to a heating pad that conforms to body parts of a user. The conforming heating pad can be worn to provide heat relief on different parts of a user's body. In an embodiment, a conforming heating pad includes a first layer on a posterior side of the heating pad, a second layer, a third layer, and a fourth layer on an anterior side of the heating pad. A continuous heating element is distributed throughout the second layer. The continuous heating element is capable of being selectively heated to increase the temperature of the heating pad. The third layer has a plurality of cavities formed in it. Each cavity holds a plurality of beads. When the heating pad is applied to a body portion of a user, the weight of the beads applies a force against the conductive heating element, the second layer, and the first layer to thereby conform them to the body portion of the user.
MEDICAL HOT AIR BLOWER
A hot air producing system produces and stores hot air, and applies the stored hot air to a human body. The system includes a heating apparatus to heat the air, a temperature setting gauge to allow a user to set a desired temperature, a pressure gauge to measure a pressure of the air in the container, a pump to pump the hot air, a fill connection, an expandable container for receiving and storing the hot air, with a valve to connect to the fill connection such that the expandable container can receive the hot air, an adjustable flow release mechanism to allow a user to adjust an amount of flow of hot air out of the expandable container, and a flexible hose connected to the adjustable flow release mechanism, with a nozzle to direct the hot air to a portion of the human body.
WEIGHTED MEDICAL BLANKET FOR WARMING AND COOLING
A weighted medical blanket is provided for containing a polymer gel; the device of the invention maintains consistent weight over time and can be warmed or cooled to be applied to patients to provide heating or cooling and can be easily cleaned, reused, and its weight reconstituted through the insertion of water through an insertion valve and insertion sleeve suited to reduce flow out of the device. Disclosed is a method for alleviating post-operative shivering utilizing the device of the invention.
