Compression Garments, Particularly a Wrist Brace
A wrist brace includes: an elastic sleeve applying a first level of compression on a portion of a wearer's arm, extending from the wrist onto the wearer's hand, and onto the wearer's forearm. A first opening into a first pocket receives a correspondingly sized/shaped thermal pack, being positioned substantially straight in an axial direction of the arm, with its width being formed/positioned to overlie the tendons of the third, fourth, and fifth compartments when the wrist brace is worn. A second opening into a second pocket receives a correspondingly sized/shaped thermal pack being substantially straight in an axial direction of the arm, with a width of the second pocket being formed so the second thermal pack overlies the tendons of the first and second compartments when the wrist brace is worn. One or more layers of high compression material overlie and apply a second level of compression the two pockets.
Therapeutic undergarments for the treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome
An apparatus, system, and method for treating symptoms of IBS. The apparatus includes a base material comprising a material that fits to the body of a user, an elastic portion capable of applying compression across the abdomen of a user, and a tension adjusting mechanism for adjusting the compression applied to the abdomen in order to treat the symptoms of IBS. A system for treating IBS may include a processor configured to receive a first set of data from biosensors configured to measure contractions in the bowel, receive a second set of data from a galvanic skin response sensor configured to measure electrical conductance of the skin; and, analyze patterns between the first and second sets of data.
ELECTRICALLY HEATED UNDERPANTS
Electrically heated underpants are revealed. The electrically heated underpants include an underwear main body, at least one pocket arranged at an outer surface of a front side or a rear side of the underwear main body, and at least one piece of electrically heated textile mounted into the pocket. The pocket is corresponding to abdomen or a lower back of users. The electrically heated textile generates heat and maintains a constant temperature after a current passed therethrough. Thereby the electrically heated underpants can keep users' abdomen and waist warm and further provide health benefits such as keeping the body warm, relieving dull pain in abdomen during the menstrual period, reducing waist and abdominal pain, etc.
Post operative apparel
Post-operative apparel such as post-mastectomy garments are described herein. In various embodiments, a post-mastectomy garment may include first and second ends, an interior side and an exterior side opposite the interior side, and the interior and exterior sides may extend between the first and second ends. In some embodiments, a closing mechanism may releasably connect the first end to said second end. In various embodiments, two opposing openings through the garment may be provided and shaped to receive arms of a patient. In some embodiments, an adjustable chest support may extend outward from the interior side. One or more drain bulb pockets may be positioned on the interior side to receive one or more surgical drain bulbs. One or more tubing pockets may also be positioned on said interior side to receive excess drain tubing.
Hand Warmer
The present disclosure is directed at a hand warmer incorporated within a pocket of an article of clothing, the hand warmer comprising at least one heating element secured to the pocket, the heating element formed in a handlebar-shape and adapted to be grasped by a hand when inserted into the pocket, wherein the handlebar-shaped heating element comprises a heating wire encased in a thin, flexible heating pad, and is flexible in its entirety.
HEMORRHOID KIT
A kit for providing pain relief to a user suffering from rectal, anal, colon discomforts, infections or diseases is disclosed herein. The kit for providing pain relief to a user suffering from rectal, anal, colon discomforts, infections or diseases includes at least one cushion-device, at least one cold therapy-device and one or more medicaments. In a preferred embodiment, the kit includes cushioned seats, rectal plugs, underwear with pockets for holding ice-packs therein, lotions, and suppositories.
TRI-MODAL LOCALIZED HEATING GARMENT
A garment that heats a portion of a human body during warm-up prior to athletic endeavor having a heater pad member with a size between the size of a common index card and an ordinary sheet of paper for localized penetrating heating of tissue and muscles. Heating is achieved by electrical heating of a heater pad member having a reflective metal foil on one side of the heater pad and thermally conductive PVF sheets on the opposite side. On the one hand, the metal foil reflects optical radiation toward a human body, while on the other hand, the PVF sheets direct infrared radiation into the human body. Control electronics and the heater pad are contained in separate pockets of the garment that are electrically connected together.
CEREBRAL PROTECTION SYSTEM
A cerebral protection system generally includes an array of cold packs, an insulating cover, and optionally a set of trays. The cold pack contains two reactive materials separated by a rupturable membrane. When the first reactive material and the second reactive material are mixed, an endothermic reaction occurs. The system can be used to induce hypothermia in selected regions of the brain when used. The system can be used to treat conditions including concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), heatstroke, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, anoxic brain injury, ischemic stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), or hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.
THERMAL THERAPY GARMENT SYSTEM
A thermal therapy garment system includes at least one garment assembly having a compression garment including an outer-surface, and an inner-surface having a plurality of pockets, and at least one thermal-insert. The plurality of pockets is located on the inner-surface of the compression garment and are strategically placed on the compression garment such that thermal therapy is enabled on at least one targeted area of a body of a user-wearer. The targeted area of the body of the user-wearer is at least one muscle, at least one joint, or a combination thereof. The compression garment may be worn underneath everyday clothing for all-day relief, enabling people to maintain a functional lifestyle.
