An aspect of the disclosure provides a decoupling wearable article for body piercings including a post, a front portion, and a back portion. The post has opposite longitudinal ends and extends longitudinally through a body piercing. The front and back portions releasably couple to opposite longitudinal ends of the post such that at least one of the front and back portions decouples from the post when a predetermined force is applied. An aspect of the disclosure provides a removable protector for a wearable article including a first protector portion configured to be removably coupled to and externally covers at least portion of the wearable article. Another aspect of the disclosure provides a conformable earpiece for acoustic transmission including an earpiece received an ear canal with conformable section of the earpiece conforming to the ear canal. The conformable earpiece including a speaker received within the conformable section of the earpiece.

The invention relating to a locking mechanism is provided herein. The invention is composed of a pin adapted with a circumferential pin notch; a lock housing; a chamber with a chamber pin slot for receiving the pin and adapted to mate with the lock housing; a set of a given number of uniformly dimensioned ball bearings; a bearing housing adapted to fit inside the chamber, adapted to contain the ball bearings while enabling horizontal movement of the ball bearings and restraining vertical movement of the ball bearings, and adapted with a bearing housing pin slot for receiving the pin. When the pin is inserted into the chamber pin slot, the pin applies horizontal force to the ball bearings, which in turn deform the inside of the chamber. The ball bearings seat in the circumferential pin notch, locking the pin in place.

On an end side of a post, along an outer periphery at a first position in a longitudinal direction of the post, there are formed ring-shaped recess portions (grooves) each having a diameter smaller than those at positions around the first position in the longitudinal direction. In this embodiment, the grooves are formed at two positions. The stopper is provided with an insertion hole capable of allowing the post to be inserted into the insertion hole by a predetermined length of a region including the ring-shaped recess portions (grooves). A jewelry item has a closure that uses shape memory to provide two stable positions. For example, an earring has a setting and a pin, and the closure closes the pin over the ear. The closure consists of a leaf spring extending outwardly in a first loop part from a first location on the setting and looping back in a second loop part to a second location adjacent the first location on the setting. The loop parts each have shape memory and are set with different remembered shapes. The two different remembered shapes work against each other to flip the closure between two stable positions, a first position in which the closure connects to the pin to close the earring and a second position in which the closure is spaced away from the pin to open the earring. A closure for a piece of jewelry includes a first end configured to be inserted through a skin piercing the first end including a tail, a second end opposite the first end, and a center section extending along an axis between the first end and the second end. The second end includes a decorative piece. The tail is configured for rotation about the axis to move the center section between a retracted position in which the first end is able to pass through the skin piercing until the decorative piece abuts with the skin and an expanded position in which the first end is unable to pass through the skin piercing such that the skin is held between the decorative piece and the expanded center section.

A flat-back earplug includes an upper ring and a lower ring. The upper ring is defined with a passage used to accommodate an ear post of an ear stud to pass through, the ear post of the ear stud is inserted from one side of the passage and passes out from the other side of the passage, and an end surface of the upper ring for accommodating an insertion of the ear post is in contact with an ear. The lower ring is defined with an accommodation cavity, the upper ring is inserted into the accommodation cavity, and a U-shaped clasp used to fix the ear post is arranged in a gap between the upper ring and the accommodation cavity, and a part of the ear post passing out from the passage extends into the accommodation cavity and is clamped on the U-shaped clasp.

An earring or brooch back for receiving a post includes a housing having a bottom shell and a top shell. The bottom shell and the top shell are provided with mutually aligned openings for forming a passage for the post. A first and a second pressing element are positioned between the bottom shell and the top shell, and the first pressing element is provided with a first stop for the post and a first protruding part which protrudes from the housing. The passage lies between the first stop and the first protruding part, and the second pressing element is provided with a second stop for the post and with a second protruding part which protrudes from the housing. The passage lies between the second stop and the second protruding part, and at least one spring is provided for spring-mounting the first and second pressing element.
