CSI REPORTING ON SMALL CONTROL CHANNELS
Systems and methods for Channel State Information (CSI) feedback on small control channels are provided. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a second node connected to a first node in a wireless communication network includes reporting CSI feedback to the first node on a physical channel. In some embodiments, this is accomplished by identifying a subset of codebook entries from an advanced CSI codebook of coefficients; selecting a codebook entry from the subset of codebook entries; and reporting an index of the selected codebook entry from the subset of codebook entries. This may allow robust feedback and allow variably sized cophasing and beam index indicators to be carried on the channel. Also, this may allow periodic feedback of advanced CSI on existing Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) Format 2.

Methods and apparatuses for reporting a precoding matrix indicator (PMI). A user equipment (UE) includes a processor configured to generate a report for a PMI. The report includes (i) a wideband amplitude coefficient indicator that is common for a plurality of subbands configured for reporting and (ii) a subband amplitude coefficient indicator and a subband phase coefficient indicator for each of the subbands. The UE further includes a transceiver operably connected to the processor. The transceiver configured to transmit the generated report for the PMI to a base station.

Provided are channel state information reporting method and apparatus, and channel state information receiving method and apparatus. The channel state information reporting method includes: receiving a reference signal sent by a second communication node; and determining, according to a first type reporting configuration signaling associated with the reference signal, at least one of a first type channel state information set or a second type channel state information set, and reporting the at least one of the first type channel state information set or the second type channel state information set to the second communication node. The first type channel state information set includes at least one of a reference signal resource index, a reference signal resource set index, a reference signal resource setting index, a reporting configuration index, a reference signal port group index, a reference signal port group set index, a port index, or rank indicator information. The second type channel state information set comprises at least one of precoding matrix indicator information, channel quality indicator information, an amplitude coefficient, a phase coefficient, or a reference signal received power.
COEFFICIENTS REPORT FOR COMPRESSED CSI FEEDBACK
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a coefficients report for compressed channel state information (CSI) feedback. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration configuring the UE for reporting precoding matrix information including, a plurality of selected beams L, a frequency domain compression matrix F for each of the L beams at each of a plurality of taps M in the time domain, and a subset of a plurality of linear combination coefficients associated with the frequency domain compression matrices and beams. The UE determines the coefficients based on a first evaluation that is, for each beam, an evaluation of the amplitude of the coefficients across the taps, and a second evaluation and a evaluation that is, for each tap, an evaluation of the amplitude of the linear combination coefficients across the beams. The UE reports the first and second evaluations.
Method and apparatus for reporting channel state information in a wireless communication system
A method for reporting channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method for reporting, by a user equipment (UE), CSI includes determining a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format type for reporting the CSI according to a CSI feedback type, wherein the PUCCH format type is a short PUCCH or a long PUCCH; and reporting the CSI to a base station through the determined PUCCH format type.
