A foundation component of a smart ring, in accordance with one implementations, includes a band having at least an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface of the band includes features configured to support electronic components. The foundation component also includes a decorative element having a bottom surface substantially corresponding to a shape of a portion of the outer surface of the band. Furthermore, the decorative element is attached to the outer surface of the band. The action of attaching the decorative element may occur after a band polishing process and before electronic components are attached to the smart ring.

Jewelry items having at least one rotating ornament to capture a wearer's or viewer's attention are disclosed. The jewelry item may be a ring or pendant having at least one axle. At least one ornament may be coupled about the axle and the ornament may be configured to spin or rotate around the axle as well as slide along the length of the axle. At least one prong may be coupled to the body of the jewelry item to hold a stone in a position above the axle and rotating ornaments.
Method of manufacturing jewelry with artifacts such as cremation ashes embedded therein
A method includes the selection of a jewelry blank having a chamber for receiving a gem. The chamber is partially filled with a first layer of UV resin. Cremation remains are placed within the first layer of resin or on the surface of the first layer of resin. Then, UV light is used to cure the first layer of resin. A second layer of resin partially fills the remaining void and is cured. Diamond dust may be added to the top surface of the cured second layer. A final layer of protective resin is added into the remaining space of the chamber and cured to create the finished jewelry piece.
VENTED RING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A vented finger ring and its method of manufacture are provided. The vented ring includes an outer ring portion, an inner ring portion, and an anti-stretch element positioned between the outer ring portion and the inner ring portion. The inner ring portion includes lateral grooves connected to inner grooves, the connected lateral grooves and inner grooves forming at least one fluid conduit from a first side of the vented ring to a second side of the vented ring. The method includes injecting a first material into a first mold to form an outer ring portion, injecting a second material into a second mold to form an inner ring portion, and positioning an anti-stretch element between the outer ring portion and the inner ring portion. The second mold includes at least one feature on a surface thereof, the at least one feature corresponding to connected lateral grooves and inner grooves on an inner surface of the inner ring portion.
