RING-SHAPED PIECE OF JEWELRY HAVING AN RFID TRANSPONDER
A ring-shaped piece of jewelry has a metal main body, which forms a receiving opening, and an RFID transponder, in which data that can be read out are stored and which is connected to an antenna structure, by means of which antenna structure signals can be exchanged with a reading device. The RFID transponder is part of a transponder array having at least two additional RFID transponders, which extend peripherally on a peripheral surface of the metal main body, and the transponder array has a distance of 2 to 6 mm between two adjacent RFID transponders.
Wearable payment device with tunable antenna
A wearable payment device, such as a finger ring worn by a user, communicates payment data via an antenna to a payment reader that uses the payment data in order to request a payment transaction. The wearable payment device can tune the antenna to enhance performance of the antenna. The wearable payment device can measure a characteristic of the antenna and perform an assessment of the performance of the antenna based on the measured characteristic. The antenna can be tuned, such as by changing the impedance of the antenna, based on the assessed performance of the antenna.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS
A wearable payment device, such as a finger ring worn by a user, communicates payment data to a payment reader that uses the payment data in order to request a payment transaction. Such wearable payment device may be conveniently carried by and accessible to the user such that utilization of the payment device for the payment transaction is less burdensome for the user, thereby encouraging use of the payment device for payments. Indeed, in some cases, such as when the payment device is implemented as a finger ring or other type of jewelry, the user may be encouraged to carry the payment device in an exposed manner such that it is readily available for the payment transaction without the user having to search in a wallet, pocket, or purse.
JEWELRY RING HAVING A RFID TRANSPONDER AND A READING ARRANGEMENT
A jewelry ring, such as a jewelry finger ring which is worn in particular on the finger, has a metal base body, which forms a fitting receptacle, and a radio-frequency identification (i.e., “RFID”) transponder in which readable data are stored and which has an antenna structure via which signals can be transmitted to a reading device. It is provided here that the RFID transponder is arranged on the inner side of the metal base body.
Ring-shaped devices with voice integration
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for ring-shaped devices with voice integration. In one embodiment, an example device may include an antenna element that at least partially forms an outer surface of the ring-shaped device, an outer shell coupled to the antenna element, an inner shell coupled to the outer shell, a curved battery disposed along a first side of the ring-shaped device, and a flexible printed circuit assembly coupled to the curved battery and disposed along a second side of the ring shaped device.
METAL ACCESSORY HAVING NON-CONTACT SHORT-RANGE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION FUNCTION, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A metal accessory having a non-contact communication function, includes: an integrated circuit element (IC chip) for control, capable of performing non-contact short-range wireless communication with an external terminal; a loop antenna with a predetermined length, having both ends connected respectively to both ends of the integrated circuit element for control; and a body part, which is made of a metal or precious metal material, is formed into a loop shape having a through hole formed through the center thereof, and has a slit formed by cutting a partial section of the loop. The integrated circuit element for control and the loop antenna are provided inside the body part, the loop antenna is wound several times along the loop-shaped body part, and a portion of the loop-shaped body part is completely cut by the slit.
JEWELRY DEVICE
A jewelry apparatus can include a base member having a hippocrepiform configuration, the base member having a first prong and a second prong. The jewelry apparatus can include a coupling member operably configured for attachment to the base member. The coupling member can include a disk member having a first side and a second side, the first side having a first set of indicia depicting a first partial portion of a word, the second side having a second set of indicia depicting a second partial portion of the word, a first projection extending from the disk member operably configured for attachment to the first prong and a second projection extending from the disk member operably configured for attachment to the second prong. The first projection or the second projection is configured to produce a tactile indication when inserted into or removed from the first prong or the second prong.
Systems and methods for performing payment transactions
A system for performing payment transactions includes a wearable payment device, such as a finger ring worn by a user, that communicates payment data to a payment reader that uses the payment data in order to request a payment transaction. The system also includes a mobile communication device that receives an input associated with the payment transaction from the user and wirelessly transmits information to the wearable payment device based on the input. The wearable payment device can use the information from the mobile communication device for performing the payment transaction and transmit at least a portion of the information from the mobile communication device to the payment reader during the payment transaction.
RING WITH ADAPTIVE FORCE REGION
A ring includes a toroid having an inner portion. An adaptive force region is extending from the inner portion. The adaptive force region is operable to exhibit non-Hookean deformation.
Method of Transposing Dates into Times for Commemorative Customized Jewelry Designs
The present invention provides a method of commemorating at least one special date for an individual with a customized jewelry design. The method comprises selecting at least one day, from numbers 1 through 31, and at least one month, from numbers 1 through 12, that the individual wishes to commemorate; placing at least one first design element which corresponds to the at least one selected day on a base element, said base element divided into sixty visible or invisible segments to represent a clock face with a top point on the clock face representing noon or midnight and referred to as a zero point, wherein the placement of the at least one first design element represents at least one minute hand of the clock and placing at least one second design element which corresponds to the at least one selected month on the base element, wherein the placement of the at least one second design element represents at least one hour hand of the clock. The customized jewelry may include, without limitation, pendants, earrings, bracelets or rings.
