Ring-shaped piece of jewelry having an RFID transponder
A ring-shaped piece of jewelry has a metal main body, which forms a receiving opening, and an RFID transponder, in which data that can be read out are stored and which is connected to an antenna structure, by means of which antenna structure signals can be exchanged with a reading device. The RFID transponder is part of a transponder array having at least two additional RFID transponders, which extend peripherally on a peripheral surface of the metal main body, and the transponder array has a distance of 2 to 6 mm between two adjacent RFID transponders.
ANTENNA IN A WEARABLE DEVICE
A wearable device is described. The wearable device may include an antenna ground plane disposed along a first circumferential portion of the wearable device. The wearable device may also include an antenna that is disposed along the second circumferential portion and that is separated from the antenna ground plane by a spacing. An interconnect portion of the antenna, which may couple a radiator of the antenna with an input of a communication component, may be coupled with the antenna ground plane.
JEWELRY DEVICE
A jewelry apparatus comprising a base member and a coupling member operably configured for attachment to the base member. The base member having a first prong and a second prong each having a first portion having a first width and a second portion having a second width smaller than the first width. The coupling member comprising a disk member having a first and second side, the first side having a first set of indicia and the second side having a second set of indicia; a first projection extending from the disk member operably configured for attachment to the first prong; and a second projection extending from the disk member operably configured for attachment to the second prong. The disk member is movably coupled to the base member and the coupling member is configured to rotate such that the indicia sets create the visual appearance of both the indicia sets.
System and method for a ring with design insert on inner surface
A ring design insert, comprising a ring further comprising an inner surface and an outer surface; a mounting section on the inner surface of the ring; and a design insert configured to fit within the mounting section. The design insert is secured within the mounting section on the inner surface of the ring shank. The design insert further comprises a combination of letters, numbers, and/or symbols. A method for installing a design insert on a ring comprising the steps placing at least one design insert on an inner surface of a ring, wherein the design insert is configured to fit within a mounting section on the inner surface of the ring; and securing the at least one design insert within the mounting section.
Smart Ring
In some examples, a method includes obtaining, using a smart ring worn on a finger of a user and while the smart ring is controlled to be in an active operational state, position data of the smart ring. The position data comprises a position of the smart ring and any changes in the position of the ring. The method also includes sending the position data to another device. The method also includes ignoring, while the smart ring is controlled to be in a standby operational state, changes in the position of the ring.
SMART RING POWER AND CHARGING
A smart ring may be configured with a removable power source and an internal power source. The internal power source may enable continued operation of the smart ring disposed at a finger of a user, while the removable power source may be detached from the smart ring for charging or to be replaced with another charged removable power source. The removable power source may be disposed as a platform at an outer surface of a band-shaped housing of the smart ring, for example, via an adapter.
Systems and methods for performing payment transactions
A wearable payment device, such as a finger ring worn by a user, communicates payment data to a payment reader that uses the payment data in order to request a payment transaction. Such wearable payment device may be conveniently carried by and accessible to the user such that utilization of the payment device for the payment transaction is less burdensome for the user, thereby encouraging use of the payment device for payments. Indeed, in some cases, such as when the payment device is implemented as a finger ring or other type of jewelry, the user may be encouraged to carry the payment device in an exposed manner such that it is readily available for the payment transaction without the user having to search in a wallet, pocket, or purse.
Ring-shaped earphone
A ring-shaped earphone may be configured to be worn in an ear. When not worn in the ear, the ring-shaped earphone may be conveniently stored on a finger. In one example, the ring-shaped earphone may include a ring-shaped body defined by an outer cylindrical surface and an inner cylindrical surface. The earphone may include a speaker within the ring-shaped body. The speaker may be configured to project sound through a speaker opening in the outer cylindrical surface. The earphone may include a microphone within the housing. The microphone may be configured to receive sound through a microphone opening in the inner cylindrical surface.
ENVIRONMENT-INTEGRATED SMART RING CHARGER
A smart ring charging system comprises a charging source integrated into an object, the object configured to be held by a user wearing a smart ring. The smart ring may include a ring-shaped housing and a power source disposed within or at the ring-shaped housing and configured to receive energy from the charging source while the user is wearing the smart ring and holding the object. A controller may be disposed within or at the ring-shaped housing, or at the object with the charger and configured to estimate a charging rate at which the power source receives the energy from the charging source. The system may further include one or more indicators configured to indicate the charging rate.
RING-TYPE WEARABLE DEVICE
A ring-type wearable device is disclosed. The disclosed ring-type wearable device comprises: an outer ring member; an inner ring member separably inserted into the outer ring member; a sensor unit disposed in the outer ring member; and a control unit disposed in the outer ring member so as to be electrically connected to the sensor unit, wherein the sensor unit can maintain constant sensitivity in correspondence to the thickness of the inner ring member.
