Medical dressing for a convex body part
Disclosed is a medical dressing having a pad and a border portion. The pad can have a rim and the border portion extends along said rim. The medical dressing can be arranged in a first substantially planar configuration and be folded along a first line, and a second portion of said medical dressing is formed and a second substantially cup-shaped configuration. The first portion can be facing and contacting said second portion. Said first substantially planar configuration the first and second portions can be connected by means of a fixed connection along a second line, which defines a second line segment having a first and a second end-point. The first and second line segments are connected at their respective first end-points such that an angle between 90 and 175 degrees is formed between the first and second line segments when the medical dressing is in the first substantially planar configuration.
ADHESIVE WOUND DRESSING
An adhesive wound dressing is disclosed herein. The adhesive wound dressing comprises a first layer that is an outer layer. A second layer is a resilient layer and affixed to an inner surface of the first layer. A third layer is an inner gauze dressing and affixed to an inner surface of the second layer, wherein the first layer, the second layer, and the third layer define a generally tubular configuration having an open end and a closed end. An adhesive layer may be applied adjacent to the open end for configured securing the adhesive wound dressing to a wounded body part subsequent to the wounded body part being inserted within the open end.
Nasal cast bender
Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for shaping an external nasal cast. A nasal cast bender may comprise a base; and a protrusion protruding upwards from the base portion, wherein the protrusion comprises a handle and a bending surface comprising a convex profile; wherein the bending surface is configured to shape an external nasal cast.
WOUND TREATMENT APPARATUSES
Methods and apparatuses are disclosed relating to the creation and use of bespoke wound fillers and other wound treatment apparatuses. Some embodiments provide for the creation of bespoke wound fillers based on characteristics of a wound. Certain embodiments also include the use of bespoke wound fillers in combination with negative pressure to treat a wound.
UMBILICAL FORMING DEVICE TO AID IN POST-SURGICAL UMBILICAL FORMATION AND HEALING
An Umbilical Forming Device is provided for enhancing healing of an umbilical wound, scar, or contour in a subject following a surgery involving the umbilicus, including but not limited to an abdominoplasty. The Umbilical Forming Device comprises a flexible body configured for use during healing of the umbilical wound. In some aspects, the flexible body is free of any holes. In other aspects, the flexible body comprises a wall, wherein the wall defines a hollow cavity and comprises one or more holes configured to facilitate drainage of secretions and/or ventilation of the umbilical wound, including wherein the flexible body further comprises proximal and/or distal openings configured to facilitate observation of the healing of the umbilical wound, removal of any secretions from the umbilical wound, and/or administration of one or more therapeutic agents to the umbilical wound. Methods of use and kits comprising the devices disclosed herein are also provided.
WOUND COVERING APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to apparatus for covering a burn or other wound in ways that prevent or limit touching the wound. The present disclosure describes Burn Bandages that may include domes or structures that bridge over a wide range of a burn or wound size. In certain instances these structures may expand in one or more directions as they are adjusted to fit to a particular burn or wound size. Such bridging structures may include airways, openings, or voids that promote air/oxygen flow to the wound as the Burn Bandage sits upon surfaces or pads that contact healthy surrounding tissue while they cover a wound site. The apparatus may be any shape including, yet not limited to, a circle, a rectangle, a square, a hexagon, an octagon, an oval, a cone, a cylinder, have a semi-cylindrical shape, or that have any another geometric shape.
A SECUREMENT DEVICE
The securement device eliminates the drawbacks of prior venous cannulas securement method by providing various plates, substrates and adhesive layers in the securement device which secures the article firmly onto the underlying substrate arresting movement in all axis that does not need any additional form of securement.
