Absorbent article having a pair of rear side flaps
An absorbent article has longitudinal edges, front and rear end regions, and a central region between the end regions, and an absorbent core disposed between a topsheet and a backsheet. A pair of central side flaps extend laterally outward from longitudinal edges of the absorbent core in the central region, and a pair of rear side flaps extend laterally outward from longitudinal edges of the absorbent core in the rear end region. A support layer disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet in the rear end region extends from one of the rear side flaps to the other outboard of the longitudinal edges of the absorbent core but inboard of the longitudinal edges of the article. The support layer is absent in the central side flaps. A channel with a plurality of first areas and second areas alternately spaced along at least a portion of a length of the channel is present.
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING A CORE WITH MULTIPLE LAMINATES
Disposable absorbent articles suitable for providing leakage protection for users that experience relatively small to relatively large discharges of fluids are described. The article includes a primary topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent system disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent system includes a first absorbent core and a second absorbent core, and wherein the primary topsheet and at least the first absorbent core include a plurality of recessed areas.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES INCLUDING WAIST PANELS
The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles with waist panels configured with physical properties for mitigating assembly complications. In some configurations, a waist panel comprises a longitudinal bending stiffness with peak load of at least about 0.19 N; a machine direction web modulus at 2% of at least about 72 N/%; a tensile load at peak of at least about 7 N/cm, as measured according to a MD tensile test; and/or a thickness of least about 0.4 mm, as measured according to Thickness Test. Such physical properties may help prevent and/or reduce instances of manufacturing problems and/or defective products during assembly by: enhancing the ability to consistently cut desired machine direction lengths of waist panels; reducing the possibility of a waist panel to undesirably fold back onto itself during assembly; enhancing the ability to absorb heat without damage and more consistently transfer discrete elastic parts between transformation apparatuses.
Absorbent products having improved packaging efficiency
A package comprising an interior space and an exterior surface may have a plurality of disposable absorbent articles disposed within the interior space of the package. Each of the disposable absorbent articles may have a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent products may exhibit an In-Bag Stack Height of less about 80 mm as measured according to an In-Bag Stack Height Test.
Fluid management layer for an absorbent article
A fluid management layer having a basis weight of between about 40 grams per square meter (gsm) and about 120 gsm is described. The fluid management layer has a plurality of absorbent fibers, a plurality of stiffening fibers and a plurality of resilient fibers, wherein the absorbent fibers are present at about 20 percent to about 75 percent by weight, and wherein the integrated, carded, staple fiber, nonwoven has a first side and a second side, and wherein there is a higher number of absorbent fibers on the first side or second side versus the other.
Absorbent article having a topsheet and standing gathers each having a sheet material with specified stiffness, softness and smoothness properties
An absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet arranged on the garment-facing side, an absorbent core enclosed between the topsheet and the backsheet and a pair of standing gathers. The topsheet and the standing gathers comprise sheet materials with specified stiffness, softness and smoothness properties. The absorbent article may be a diaper or incontinence guard.
BULKY NONWOVEN FABRIC WITH ENHANCED COMPRESSIBILITY AND RECOVERY
A nonwoven fabric and a method of production of said nonwoven fabric are disclosed, wherein the nonwovens fabric comprises at least one layer, said layer comprising endless filaments, —which comprise at least a first polymeric material (A) and a second polymeric material (B) having its melting point lower than the first polymeric material A, —wherein the second polymeric material (B) extends in the longitudinal direction of the filament and forms at least a part of the surface of the filament and—the at least one layer of endless filaments comprises filament-to-filament bonds formed of the second polymeric material (B), wherein all components of the filaments are arranged across the cross-section of the filament in a non-crimpable configuration and the nonwoven fabric has a structural softness of at least 80 (m.sup.4 mm.sup.2 g.sup.−2).
