ABSORBENT ARTICLE PROVIDED WITH A QR-CODE

A disposable absorbent article such as a diaper, pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence garment, intended to be worn around the waist of a wearer is provided. The absorbent article has a chassis having a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion therebetween. The absorbent article optionally has one or more fastening tabs attached to the back or front portion of the chassis. The absorbent article has an absorbent core secured to the chassis in at least the crotch portion. The absorbent article is provided with a QR-code on a garment facing-side thereof and on a carrier material in or on at least one of the front portion, back portion and/or on the one or more fastening tabs. The carrier material has a Gurley stiffness of 8 mgf or more.

Pants-type absorbent article

A pants-type absorbent article for which damage during wearing motions can be suppressed. The pants-type absorbent article includes: a front waist region; a rear waist region; a crotch region; a waist opening defined by the front waist region and the rear waist region and disposed to surround a waist of the wearer; an external topsheet provided on at least one of the front waist region and the rear waist region; and an external backsheet bonded to the external topsheet. The external backsheet has a folded-back portion folded back at the waist opening, the folded-back portion extending beyond the external topsheet toward to the waist opening. A reinforcing sheet extends in a transverse direction orthogonally crossing the front-back direction and to overlap at least part of the folded-back portion. The reinforcing sheet has a length in the front-back direction longer than a length of the folded-back portion in the front-back direction.

A disposable diaper having front and rear augmented waistband zones having a specified size and stiffness is disclosed. For relatively thinner, less bulky diapers of currently marketed designs, providing augmented waistband zones is believed to reduce mental and physical effort for the caregiver in application of the diaper. The augmented waistband zones provide a robust-feeling structure proximate the waist edges, which the caregiver may grasp at front and rear to adjust the diaper on the wearer. Caregiver perception of a need to reach deeper into the diaper structure to grasp it at a thicker area to tug at it is believed to be reduced.

Absorbent Articles

An absorbent article having a chassis formed of a topsheet and backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. First and second non-elasticated cuffs are provided on a body facing surface of the absorbent article on opposite sides of a longitudinal centerline. Each of the cuffs has a proximal end attached to the chassis and a distal end extending towards the centerline, wherein the width of the cuff measured between the proximal end and the distal end is at least 3 mm. Cuffs of the absorbent article may either incorporate a fold at the distal end to form cuffs with at least two layers or have a minimum cuff stiffness of at least 0.04 g*cm.
