Shaped nonwoven
A nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric can include a first surface and a second surface and a visually discernible pattern of three-dimensional features on one of the first or second surface. Each of the three-dimensional features can define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions can have a difference in values for an intensive property, and wherein in at least one of the microzones the first region exhibits a Contact Angle of greater than 90 degrees, as measured by the Contact Angle Test Method detailed herein.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED BOTTOM DISTRIBUTION ASSEMBLY
An absorbent article comprising a liquid pervious topsheet (300), a liquid impervious backsheet (200), absorbent material positioned between the liquid pervious topsheet and the liquid impervious backsheet, and a bottom distribution assembly between the absorbent material and the liquid impervious backsheet, wherein the absorbent material comprises superabsorbent particles and is arranged such that one or more channels are formed, wherein substantially no absorbent material is present in the one or more channels, wherein the bottom distribution assembly comprises a first layer and a second layer, wherein said first layer has a first density between 20 and 150 kg/m3 and said second layer has a second density between 100 and 400 kg/m3, said second density being higher than the first density, wherein said first layer is closer to the absorbent material than said second layer.
SPUNBOND NONWOVEN WEB FOR AN ACQUISITION/DISTRIBUTION LAYER
A spunbond nonwoven web for an acquisition/distribution layer, the web comprising a first layer (1) of filaments, wherein the first layer (1) consists of continuous crimped bi-component filaments of an eccentric core/sheath structure, the filaments having a diameter in the range of 15 to 35 microns and exhibiting at least 3 crimps/cm, a second filament layer (2) arranged in direct contact on the first layer (1), wherein the second layer (2) of filaments comprises continuous crimped bi-component filaments of an eccentric core/sheath structure, the filaments having a diameter, which is smaller than the diameter of the filaments in the first layer (1) and which is in the range of to 20 microns and exhibiting at least 3 crimps/cm.
Absorbent articles having distribution materials
An absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet, and a distribution material comprising a wet-laid, three-dimensional fibrous substrate comprising at least 80% pulp fibers by weight of the wet-laid, three-dimensional fibrous substrate. The wet-laid, three-dimensional fibrous substrate comprises a continuous network region, a plurality of discrete zones, and a plurality of transition regions. The transition regions are positioned intermediate the continuous network region and at least some of the plurality of discrete zones.
Absorbent article
An absorbent article has a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction perpendicular to each other, and includes a waist part along the lateral direction. The waist part includes nonwoven fabric and a plurality of stretchable members. In a state in which the waist part is extended along the lateral direction, an opening is formed in the waist part between stretchable members that are adjacent in the longitudinal direction. A high density region exists longitudinally between the opening and one of the adjacent stretchable members. An external region exists longitudinally between the high density region and another one of the adjacent stretchable members. The high density region has a predetermined lateral length. A density of fibers of the nonwoven fabric in the high density region is larger than in the external region. A part of an edge of the opening includes a portion in which fibers are not fused.
Fiber assembly and liquid absorbent sheet-like article including the same and method of manufacturing fiber assembly
A fiber assembly including fibrils including a fibril which is a part of a fiber extending in a direction of thickness of the fiber assembly and including a network structure formed with a binding portion resulting at least any from binding between fibrils and binding between a fibril and a fiber in at least any end portion in the direction of thickness of the fiber assembly and a liquid absorbent sheet-like article including the same as well as a fiber assembly which is excellent in diffusion of a liquid particularly at a surface and absorption thereof in the inside and includes fibrils and a liquid absorbent sheet-like article including the same as well as a method of manufacturing the fiber assembly can be provided.

Package of absorbent articles utilizing a shaped nonwoven
A package of personal care articles. Each of the personal care articles has a nonwoven substrate as a component. The nonwoven substrate can have a first surface defining a plane of the first surface and a non-regular pattern of a plurality of three-dimensional features extending outwardly from the plane of the first surface. The non-regular pattern can include a first zone of first three-dimensional features and a second zone of second three-dimensional features, wherein in at least one of the first or second zones of the plurality of three-dimensional features has a first three-dimensional feature having a first intensive property and a second three-dimensional feature having a second, different intensive property. The personal care articles can be compressed in the package.
Absorbent article with ear portion
An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions. The absorbent article further includes a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a laminate. The laminate has an elasticized region. The laminate includes a first nonwoven, a second nonwoven and an elastomeric material sandwiched between said first and second nonwovens in the elasticized region. The laminate includes a bonding region with a bond density of at least 4% and at least partially overlapping the elastomeric material. The laminate exhibits an Unload Force at 50% of at least 0.90 N.
TAMPON ASSEMBLY HAVING A SHAPED PLEDGET
