Tampon assembly having a shaped pledget
A tampon assembly having a barrel, a plunger, and a pledget is provided. The plunger is slidably received in the barrel. The pledget is in the barrel between the insertion tip and the plunger so that a force applied on the plunger can expel the pledget from the barrel. The barrel has a plurality of petals defining an insertion tip, which has a first taper ratio of more than about 0.3 to less than 1.0. The pledget has a shaped tip that is disposed in the insertion tip.
Shaped nonwoven
A through-air bonded nonwoven fabric comprises a first surface and a second surface and a visually discernible pattern of three-dimensional features on one of the first or second surfaces. Each of the three-dimensional features define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions have a difference in values for an intensive property, wherein in at least one of the microzones, the first region exhibits a Contact Angle of greater than 90 degrees, as measured by the Contact Angle Test Method, and wherein the second region exhibits a Time to Wick of less than 10 seconds, as measured by the Time to Wick Test Method.
PACKAGE OF ABSORBENT ARTICLES UTILIZING A SHAPED NONWOVEN
A package of personal care articles. Each of the personal care articles has a nonwoven substrate as a component. The nonwoven substrate can have a first surface defining a plane of the first surface and a non-regular pattern of a plurality of three-dimensional features extending outwardly from the plane of the first surface. The non-regular pattern can include a first zone of first three-dimensional features and a second zone of second three-dimensional features, wherein in at least one of the first or second zones of the plurality of three-dimensional features has a first three-dimensional feature having a first intensive property and a second three-dimensional feature having a second, different intensive property. The personal care articles can be compressed in the package.
Shaped nonwoven
A through-air thermally bonded nonwoven fabric is provided. The nonwoven fabric can include a first surface and a second surface and a visually discernible pattern of three-dimensional features on one of the first or second surface. Each of the three-dimensional features can define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions can have a difference in values for an intensive property, wherein at least one of the surfaces has a TS7 value of less than about 15 dB V.sup.2 rms, and wherein the first surface has a TS7 value that is higher than the second surface TS7 value.
LIQUID ABSORPTION AND DISTRIBUTION NONWOVEN FABRIC FOR HYGIENE ARTICLES
This disclosure describes a multi-layer liquid absorption and distribution nonwoven fabric for hygiene products, which has a topside facing the user in hygiene products and an underside facing the absorbent core in hygiene products, the fiber blend of the nonwoven fabric forming the underside having a lower average fiber titer than the fiber blend of the nonwoven fabric forming the topside. The bond between the topside and the underside is purely thermal. The topside consists of a fiber blend of 50 to 100% by weight of melting fibers with 50 to 0% by weight of matrix fibers. The underside consists of a blend of 50 to 80% by weight of absorbent fibers with 50 to 20% by weight of melting fibers.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article has a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction perpendicular to each other, and includes a waist part along the lateral direction. The waist part includes nonwoven fabric and a plurality of stretchable members. In a state in which the waist part is extended along the lateral direction, an opening is formed in the waist part between stretchable members that are adjacent in the longitudinal direction. A high density region exists longitudinally between the opening and one of the adjacent stretchable members. An external region exists longitudinally between the high density region and another one of the adjacent stretchable members. The high density region has a predetermined lateral length. A density of fibers of the nonwoven fabric in the high density region is larger than in the external region. A part of an edge of the opening includes a portion in which fibers are not fused.
ABSORBENT STRUCTURE
An absorbent structure including a distribution layer and a storage layer is disclosed. The distribution layer has two or more stratums. The two or more stratums include a body facing stratum and a subsequent stratum below the body facing stratum. The density of the subsequent stratum is a fraction of the density of the body facing stratum and the porosity of the subsequent stratum is a multiple of the body facing stratum porosity.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH EAR PORTION
An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions. The absorbent article further includes a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a laminate. The laminate has an elasticized region. The laminate includes a first nonwoven, a second nonwoven and an elastomeric material sandwiched between said first and second nonwovens in the elasticized region. The laminate includes a bonding region with a bond density of at least 3% and at least partially overlapping the elastomeric material. The laminate exhibits an Unload Force at 50% of at least 0.90 N.
NONWOVEN AND ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING THE SAME
