DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING A CORE WITH MULTIPLE LAMINATES
Disposable absorbent articles suitable for providing leakage protection for users that experience relatively small to relatively large discharges of fluids are described. The article includes a primary topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent system disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent system includes a first absorbent core and a second absorbent core, and wherein the primary topsheet and at least the first absorbent core include a plurality of recessed areas.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH TOPSHEET COMPRISING CELLULOSE-BASED FIBERS
The present disclosure relates to an absorbent article comprising a wearer-facing surface and an opposite garment-facing surface. The absorbent article comprises a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The topsheet comprises a nonwoven substrate comprising cellulose-based fibers, a first surface and an opposite second surface. The first surface of the nonwoven substrate forms at least part of the wearer-facing surface. The first surface comprises a first area having a first contact angle no less than about 100°, as measured by Contact Angle Test, and the second surface comprises a second area having a second contact angle no less than about 82°, as measured by Contact Angle Test. The second contact angle is smaller than the first contact angle.
HEMOSTATIC PASTE AND METHODS OF MAKING THEREOF
The present invention is directed to a flowable hemostatic paste comprising a crosslinked carboxymethyl cellulose and at least one non-toxic dispersant. More specifically the present invention relates to a hemostatic paste containing citric acid cross-linked CMC, which is suspended or dispersed as a powder in a mixture of a first non-toxic glycerol-containing hygroscopic dispersant and a second non-toxic alcohol functionalized dispersant comprising propylene glycol or 1,3-butanediol.
DIAPER PRODUCT ADAPTED FOR COLLECTION OF URINE SAMPLE FROM AN INFANT
A disposable diaper product useful for collecting a urine sample from an infant is disclosed. In one example the product may have a liquid control structure overlying a liquid impermeable backsheet, with a plan surface area defining a volume coextensive therewith, wherein a portion of the volume defined by at least 50 percent of the plan surface area contains no more than 50 percent by weight absorbent material. In another example the product may have a liquid control structure overlying a liquid impermeable backsheet, and have an average Liquid Release Ratio of at least 3 percent. A method for collecting a urine sample from an infant is also disclosed, in which a diaper is used for collection.
ABSORBENT PAD WITH FIRST AND SECOND PRINTING PATTERN
An absorbent pad including a fluid permeable topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core. The absorbent core has a front portion, a rear portion and an intermediate portion, the front portion, the rear portion and the intermediate portion being of equal lengths, the absorbent core having a width varying no more than 20 mm along its length, wherein the topsheet in a printed central absorption zone, arranged over the front portion, the rear portion and the intermediate portion of the absorbent core, is provided with a first printed pattern including first print elements and the topsheet in a peripheral security zone arranged at least over the rear portion of the absorbent core, is provided with a second printed pattern including second print elements, wherein a degree of coverage of the second printed pattern is at least 30% greater than a degree of coverage of the first printed pattern.
WATER-ABSORPTIVE RESIN PARTICLE, ABSORPTION BODY, AND ABSORPTIVE ARTICLE
An absorbent article 100 includes an absorber 10, the absorber contains water-absorbent resin particles 10a, and in the water-absorbent resin particles 10a, a water absorption rate based on the Vortex method at 300 rpm is 10 to 50 seconds.
Absorbent cores comprising a superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material
Described herein is an absorbent article having an absorbent core. The absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer material and a superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material includes from about 20% to about 70% of a first polymer and from about 30% to about 80% of a second polymer. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material has a Shear Viscosity at 10 (1/s) at 230° C. of from about 300 mPa.Math.s to about 10,000 mPa.Math.s.
Resilient absorbent products with enhanced resistance to tearing
The present disclosure provides a sanitary napkin that is thin, highly absorbent and has resiliency properties that are selected to provide good comfort potential and at the same time reduce the likelihood of deformation and breaking. In a specific example, the sanitary napkin comprises a cover layer, an absorbent system and a barrier layer. The absorbent system includes an absorbent core and a reinforcement layer.
Absorbent article with strong and weak bonded portions
An absorbent article includes an absorber including cells, each of which is surrounded by bonded portions of a front surface side sheet and a back surface side sheet and in each of which the front surface side sheet and the back surface side seat are not bonded, and including superabsorbent polymer particles contained in each of the cells. The bonded portions are arranged in dotted line shapes according to a pattern in which same-sized octagonal portions having all interior angles of 135°, and having two pairs of opposite sides whose facing directions are mutually orthogonal are equal in length, and diamond-shaped portions each having equal length of all sides and being formed in portions among the octagonal portions, are arranged without any space in the front-back direction (LD) or the width direction (WD).
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ABSORBENT CORE
An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions; and a chassis having a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The article also includes a waist feature having a portion extending longitudinally outboard of the chassis in the waist region. The backsheet includes a barrier layer having a maximum length, L.sub.BS. The absorbent core has absorbent material and a maximum length, L.sub.CW. L.sub.CW is substantially the same as L.sub.BS. The absorbent material is disposed in an absorbent material deposition area. The absorbent material deposition area has a maximum length, L.sub.AB, and L.sub.AB is about 90% or greater of L.sub.BS. The first absorbent area lateral edge is disposed a longitudinal distance, D1, from the first barrier lateral edge, and D1 is about 5% or less of L.sub.BS.
