Device with lighting, location and communication services
A device with lighting creating the appearance of animations is disclosed herein. The device includes: a first layer of translucent material and a second layer of translucent material, where the first and second layers of translucent material are attached to form a combined piece of translucent material, and where a first image is etched into the first layer and a second image is etched into the second layer; a housing unit including a first LED used solely with the first layer and a second LED used solely with the second layer; control circuitry connected to the first and the second LEDs; and a power source connected to the control circuitry.
FUNCTIONAL, SOCIALLY-ENABLED JEWELRY AND SYSTEMS FOR MULTI-DEVICE INTERACTION
Functional jewelry is disclosed. A bracelet includes a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), a main control unit, and positional and situational sensors, typically including an accelerometer, as well as a decorative, interchangeable fascial layer. The bracelet may also include sensors such as capacitive touch sensors, a microphone, and a color sensor. A radio transceiver within the bracelet is adapted to implement a protocol such as BLUETOOTH 4.0, and is adapted to allow the bracelet to communicate in peer-to-peer or master-slave mode. Two users can pair their bracelets in person, usually with a gestural trigger, for shared light displays, multi-player games, and other types of interactions. Larger groups can pair temporarily and contextually for multi-user displays and interactions, in an ad hoc network with distributed functions. Real-world interactions are communicated to a social network with profiles linked to the individual bracelets.
Knife and associated sheath
A bracelet or flexible band comprised of a flexible member that on one end is interconnected to a knife and on another end, is connected to a sheath that selectively receives the knife in the locking fashion. When needed, the knife is rotated within the sheath to facilitate release thereof from a lock that is integral with the sheath. Once removed from the sheath, the knife can be used for self-defense, cutting rope or cord in an emergency situation, or for general utility cutting tasks.
CONFETTI INLAID WEARABLE NOVELTY ITEMS
A wearable or ornamental item is made up of at least two layers of transparent plastic that are recessed to form, when joined together, an internal passage having dimensions sufficient to loosely accommodate decorative pieces such as confetti. The wearable or ornamental item may be an eyeglass frame, and may be illuminated by LEDs fixed within the passage and connected by wires to a battery power source also fixed within the passage.
Wearable electronic device
A wearable electronic device includes a primary bead, two spacer beads and a bead string. The two spacer beads each defines a first side and a second side opposite to each other. The first sides of the two spacer beads are respectively disposed on two opposite sides of the primary bead. Two ends of the bead string are respectively connected to the second sides of the two spacer beads.
ILLUMINATED TRANSFLECTIVE GEMSTONES, METHODS, AND APPARATUS THEREOF
A light source comprising a substrate, wherein the substrate is coated with a transflective thin film optical coating, wherein the coating results in a metallic mirror and/or iridescent effect on the substrate; and a light emitting diode comprising an internal circuitry, wherein when the light source in a switched-Off mode the metallic mirror effect or the iridescent effect conceal internal circuitry of the light emitting diode to provide an aesthetic look and color on the gemstone, wherein when the light source is switched-ON the transflective thin film allows LED light to transmit through the substrate, wherein the light source comprises a substantially invisible light source integrated onto a substrate. In other embodiments, LED may include OLED, transparent inorganic LED, flexible COF LED, etc. . . . . In embodiments, the gemstone may be foiled, unfoiled, multi-facetted, colorless, colored, etc . . . .
Rechargeable illuminating personal ornaments and luminaires
Luminaires including a charging base and a rechargeable illuminating personal ornament. The charging base includes a power cable connectable to an external power source and a power connector. The rechargeable illuminating personal ornament is connected to the charging base and has a shell, a light source attached to the shell, a rechargeable power source located in the shell and connected to the light source, and a corresponding power connector defining an opening in the shell and coupled to the rechargeable power source. The power connector of the charging base is coupled to the corresponding power connector of the rechargeable illuminating personal ornament.
Bracelet
A bracelet having a first separation body (100) connected with a first button body (102) having an accommodation part (104) and a limiting part (105) connected and a second separation body (101) connected with a second button body (103) of which abutment surface having an accommodation slot (109); the accommodation part (104) is located within the accommodation slot (109), slot walls of the accommodation slot provided with bayonets (106), the limiting part (105) engages the bayonet (106), and the width of the bayonet (106) is smaller than of the accommodation part (104); a magnetic assembly (107,108) is provided between the bottom of the accommodation slot (109) and the accommodation part (104) for connecting the first button body (102) to the second button body (103); the direction of the suction force generated by the magnetic assembly is parallel to the direction that the accommodation part (104) enters the accommodation slot (109).
Removable illumination device for a button
An illumination device for a button including a substantially cylindrical housing unit and a substantially cylindrical base unit having an interior surface threadably engageable with a top portion of the housing unit. A battery is removably disposed within the top portion of the housing unit. A depressible push cap is mounted atop the housing unit, with the push cap enclosing a push button actuator and a light bulb. A U-shaped clamp has a right end, a left end, and a pair of leg attachments. A lower edge of each of the pair of leg attachments is attached at a ninety degree angle to the clamp. An upper edge of each of the pair of leg attachments is attached to the housing unit. The clamp is slidably engageable with a button. The push cap is configured to activate the light when the push cap is depressed by a user.
Pressure activated illuminating wristband
An apparatus for illuminating an area of interest of a user and a method of illuminating an area of interest in the hand of a user is provided. The apparatus is received by the user's wrist and oriented such that the area of interest is illuminated when pressure is applied to the apparatus. The apparatus includes a band with a power source, a light source, and a pressure sensor.
