Apparatus for applying adhesive to stretchable members and stretchable composite sheet
A stretchable composite sheet, wherein pleat-free regions where no pleats are formed are formed between a plurality of pleat formation regions, the sheet being made by a method, wherein non-continuous coating sections are set so as to correspond to form the plurality of pleat formation regions, and non-coating sections are set so as to correspond to form the pleat-free regions, and an intermittent coating is performed on stretchable elastic members (rubber threads). An apparatus for non-continuously and intermittently applying a hot-melt adhesive comprises an intermittent coating unit, which includes a hot-melt supply control device having a valve mechanism and a coating head having slit grooves in which coating areas are formed, and a non-continuous coating unit, which vertically vibrates rubber threads, passing through the coating areas, between a coating position and a non-coating position.
Disposable diaper production method and production device
Provided are a disposable diaper production method and a disposable diaper production device by which cutting positions of respective side pieces can be accurately managed. A partly-finished product is conveyed in a longitudinal direction in a state in which both side portions in the width direction of the cutting position of respective side panel pieces are held for each set of the two side panel pieces when the respective side panel pieces are cut off by a cutting unit. A controller controls driving rates of a cutting motor and a conveying motor to rotate driving blades at a rate faster than the conveying rate of the partly-finished product.
METHOD FOR FORMING STRETCHABLE STRUCTURE FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND STRETCHABLE STRUCTURE FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention is intended to prevent cutting of the resilient and elastic members by a welding process. The foregoing issue is solved by passing a first sheet layer, a second sheet layer, and elongated resilient and elastic members continuously disposed in an MD direction between the two sheet layers, between a first roll with joint convex parts provided at circumferential intervals on an outer peripheral surface and a second roll opposed to the first roll, and pressurizing and heating the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer to form sheet joined sections by welding the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer in such a manner as to cross the resilient and elastic members and have MD-direction intervals therebetween, wherein circumferentially continuous grooves are formed on a pressurization surface of the second roll, passage sections of the resilient and elastic members are pressurized and heated in positions including the grooves of the second roll, and non-passage sections of the resilient and elastic members are pressurized and heated in positions not including the grooves of the second roll.
Method and unit for folding incontinence pads
A method and unit for folding light incontinence pads having a substantially rectangular shape elongate according to a longitudinal axis and comprising a central absorbent pad and an outer edge, according to which a first end portion of the incontinence pad is folded on a central portion of the incontinence pad about a first fold line transversal to the longitudinal axis, a second end portion of the incontinence pad is folded on the first end portion about a second fold line transversal to the longitudinal axis, and elasticated segments of the edge located between the first and second fold lines are folded on the central portion; the step of folding the elasticated segments of the edge being between a first sub-step of partly folding the first end portion and a second sub-step of completely folding the first end portion on the central portion.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING ELASTIC PANELS
A system for manufacturing elastic strand nonwoven panels including an unwind module, a lamination module and a folding module. Elastic strand material is fed from cores disposed on the unwind module through rollers towards the lamination module, where the elastic strand material is attached to a nonwoven web to form an elastic strand nonwoven web. At the folding module, the elastic strand nonwoven web is folded over itself by operation of plates underneath which the elastic strand nonwoven web is fed under tension.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH PARTIALLY ENCLOSED WAIST CONTAINMENT MEMBER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
An absorbent article (10, 110) can include a waist containment member (54) with a first longitudinal side edge (72), a second longitudinal side edge (74), a proximal portion (76), an intermediate portion (77), and a distal portion (78). The proximal portion (76) can be coupled to the chassis (11) of the absorbent article (10, 110). The intermediate portion (77) can be free to move independent of the proximal portion (76) and the distal portion (78) and free to move independent of the body facing surface (19) of the chassis (11) to provide a containment pocket (82) for containing body exudates. The distal portion (78) can be disposed underneath the intermediate portion (77) when the absorbent article (10, 110) is in the stretched, laid-flat configuration. The waist containment member (54) can also include a first lateral tack-down region (83a) and a second lateral tack-down region (83b).
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH CHANNELS
A personal care absorbent article is disclosed which employs a combination of void spaces, also referred to as channels, in the crotch region of the article in conjunction with shaping elastic members located outside the lateral side edges of the absorbent core, that, when coupled with strategic alignment of certain components and specifically-located folding lines, will create an article with improved convex or outward curvature of the chassis upon unfolding which provides increased spatial separation of the topsheet or body side liner of the article from the genital area of the wearer. In addition, due to the manipulation of the specific location of such elements in the article, gender specific product designs can be created which are specifically tailored to more appropriately deal with the differences in location of the male and female genitalia.
Absorbent article having a fastening system with a visual cue
An absorbent article has a chassis having an outer cover at least in part defining the outer surface of the article, a pair of ears extending transversely outward from opposite sides of the chassis, and a fastening system comprising a primary fastening system and a secondary fastening system. The secondary fastening system includes a secondary second fastening component located on each of the ears and a corresponding secondary first fastening component located on the outer surface of the article at a first waist portion. A ΔE value calculated using the Color Contrast Test between the secondary first fastening components uncovered by the ears and the outer cover being greater than 20.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE PACKAGE WITH ENHANCED OPENING AND RECLOSEABILITY
A package containing a stack of folded disposable absorbent articles, the package being formed of flexible polymeric film, and having a path of perforations or scoring defining a hood opening structure, is disclosed. The hood opening structure may be configured to open proximate the fold noses of the articles for easy tactile identification, grasping and withdrawal of individual ones thereof, and may be configured so as to serve as an effective package reclosure device whereby the package may be used to store the unused supply of articles following opening. The package, and printed commercial artwork and product information on the package surfaces, may be configured such that the fold noses are disposed at the apparent bottom of the package, for improved standing stability when the package is shelved.
