Method and apparatus for making absorbent structures with absorbent material
A method and apparatus for making specific absorbent structures with an absorbent layer with absorbent material with therein substantially longitudinally extending strips that are free of absorbent material, using or having thereto a moving endless surface with receptacle(s) with specific longitudinally extending rods; and specific absorbent structures obtained therewith, suitable for absorbent articles, such as diapers and sanitary napkins.
ABSORBENT CORE, ARTICLES COMPRISING SAID CORE, AND METHODS OF MAKING
An absorbent core comprising substantially continuous zones of one or more high fluid distribution structures and discontinuous zones of fluid absorption structures surrounding the one or more high fluid distribution structures, wherein the one or more high fluid distribution structures are arranged to distribute fluid across the absorbent core at a speed that is faster than the speed of fluid distribution across the absorbent core by said discontinuous fluid absorption structures, and wherein said continuous zones extend along a path that is substantially parallel to at least a portion of the perimeter of the core, said portion of the perimeter of the core comprising at least a portion of the sides of the core and one of the ends of the core.
Absorbent article
An absorbent article for minimizing detachment between a top sheet and absorbent body, for stably maintaining an absorption performance, while maintaining a satisfactory feel on a skin of the top sheet. The top sheet has a plurality of raised sections extended in a lengthwise direction at predetermined intervals in a widthwise direction, and a plurality of furrow sections extended in the lengthwise direction between the raised sections. The furrow section has a first recess section including a first bottom section, and a plurality of second recess sections inside the first recess section. The second recess section includes a second bottom section having a highest fiber density of the top sheet. A portion at a second surface of a top section of the raised section is not joined to an absorbent body. The second bottom section of the second recess section of the furrow section is joined to the absorbent body.
DEVICE FOR FORMING A COMPOSITE WEB OF AN ABSORBENT PAD FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLES
This invention relates to a device for forming a composite web of an absorbent pad for absorbent articles, such as diapers, comprising an extruding means for extruding a thermoplastic material and a delivery means for delivering superabsorbent polymer material; a suction forming surface is configured to receive the filaments of thermoplastic material blown out of the one or more delivery mouths of the extruding means and to receive the superabsorbent polymer material coming out of the delivery means, to make a composite, meltblown web comprising the superabsorbent polymer material; the delivery means has at least one outlet mouth for feeding superabsorbent polymer material and configured to be movable at least from a first distance to a second distance, or vice versa, relative to the delivery mouth of the extruding means in such a way as to vary the concentration of the superabsorbent polymer material in the composite web.
Method and Apparatus for Assembling Absorbent Articles
The present disclosure relates to assembling elastic laminates that may be used to make absorbent article components. Methods herein may include an anvil adapted to rotate about an axis of rotation, wherein first and second spreader mechanisms adjacent the anvil roll are axially and angularly displaced from each other with respect to the axis of rotation. During the assembly process, a substrate may be advanced in a machine direction onto the rotating anvil. The first spreader mechanism stretches a first elastic material in the cross direction, and the second spreader mechanism stretches a second elastic material in the cross direction. The stretched first and second elastic materials advance from the spreader mechanisms and onto the substrate on the anvil roll. The combined and elastic materials may then be ultrasonically bonded together on the anvil to form at least one elastic laminate.
Folded side-leakage-proof arc-shaped elastic sanitary product wainscot and production line therefor
The present invention relates to a folded side-leakage-proof arc-shaped elastic sanitary product wainscot and a production line therefor. After two sides of an elastic membrane under a tensile state are compounded with nonwoven fabric strips by hot pressing respectively, the elastic membrane rebounds and resets to impel the nonwoven fabric strips located on two sides of the elastic membrane to form a folded side-leakage-proof side wall. The elastic membrane is in the shape of a concave arc. The present invention has the following advantages: 1, the nonwoven fabric strips may be compounded with two sides of the elastic air-permeable membrane without a hot melt adhesive so as to ensure that the air permeability of the elastic air-permeable membrane and the nonwoven fabric strips is not affected by the hot melt adhesive; and 2, after two sides of the elastic air-permeable membrane under a tensile state are compounded with the nonwoven fabric strips, the elastic air-permeable membrane rebounds to impel the nonwoven fabric strips to form a required elastic folded side-leakage-proof side wall with the rebound and reset of the elastic air-permeable membrane. This side wall not only has a function of preventing liquid from flowing, but also greatly reduces a contact area between a sanitary napkin or a panty-shape diaper and a human body, such that the comfort level of the human body is greatly improved.
Methods and apparatus for application of nested zero waste ear to traveling web
The present invention provides a method of providing a disposable product with a contoured leg opening. In this method at least one chip is removed from at least one ear of a disposable product. The chip may be removed from an ear prior to attaching the ear to the chassis web. Alternatively, the chip may be removed from the ear after the ear is attached to the chassis web.
