Fluid Absorber and Method of Making Same
The present disclosure relates to fluid absorbers, along with a process for making the fluid absorber, which may be used, for example, by Parkinson's disease patients. The fluid absorber may include individual units that are folded into each other. The fluid absorber may be folded into a rectangle or square. The fluid absorber is then placed into an antimicrobial solution, and left to dry. In this way, a fluid absorber may have antimicrobial properties that reduce or eliminate tooth decay associated with hypersalivation. The fluid absorber is then placed inside the patient's mouth where it absorbs saliva until it becomes saturated. The fluid absorber may then be disposed.
FOLDABLE ABSORBENT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A foldable absorbent apparatus to ameliorate bleeding of a wound which includes a first and second absorbent pad layer to absorb a fluid, and a malleable material layer enclosed within the first and second absorbent layer configured to be formed in various shapes, wherein the malleable material allows the first and second absorbent pad layers to be formed in various shapes to apply a pressure to a wound while at the same time absorbing fluids from the wound to promote healing of the wound.
Drool guard
A drool guard (1) that is worn in the mouth to capture excess saliva and prevent drool from escaping a user's mouth while sleeping and when in public.

DENTAL ABSORBENT PAD
A dental absorbent pad (10) has a moisture permeable outer layer (11) which is folded upon itself to form a top side (12), a bottom side (13), and a peripheral margin area (15). The folded outer layer forms a cavity between the top side and the bottom side which is filled with a mass of unsupported, free-flowing granular superabsorbent material (16). The mass of granular superabsorbent material may be grains of sodium salt of cross linked polyacrylic acid with a grain size or diameter of 1 to 850 microns.
Sampling device capable of continuously sampling content in a biological conduit and method thereof
The present invention provides a device that can move inside a biological conduit such as an intestinal tract for sampling the content therein, and a process thereof. While moving along the intestinal tract, the device can continuously collect the content in the intestinal tract. One or more convoy belts having an adsorbent layer are configured to continuously absorb and preserve the collected intestinal content. The belt loaded with the sample may be used to establish a chemical, biochemical and microbiological spectrum along the length of the intestinal tract.
DENTAL ISOLATOR FOR PROTECTING THE TONGUE AND CHEEK DURING DENTAL TREATMENT
An isolating retractor instrument to protect the tongue and cheek during dental treatment either in the dental clinic or in operating under general anesthesia. This instrument helps to protect the tongue and cheeks and provides a dry, clean and light-reflecting environment. It comprising two isolating pads, the first one is for the tongue (A) and the other one is for the cheek (B), they characterized by their flexibility and rounded edges which are connected to a flexible, rounded edges tape (C); Each pad consists of multiple layers, a first layer 1 is in contact with oral tissue which is a thin layer helps to adhere to the tissue and absorbs the saliva or liquids, a second layer 2 is a fast-absorbing material and it absorbs the saliva and any liquids and can hold the fluids in a long time, then a third supportive layer 3 made of a reinforced flexible to support and stabilize the pad, a last layer is a White sheet 4 in contact with the teeth which is characterized in that, a reflective color, a flexible and a liquid-isolating (FIG. 1).
SUBDIVIDABLE DENTAL ABSORBENT BLOCK
An absorbent block of a length greater than a single tooth extraction site, the block subdividable into selected customized widths for application to a dental extraction site. The block may have a longitudinal notch in the surface pressed against the extraction site, or two opposed notches where corresponding upper and lower teeth are extracted. Pre-cut lines or surface marked lines indicate available widths for block subdivisions. The block may be curved as appropriate to align with partial or full arch teeth extraction procedures.
Dental isolator
A dental isolator in the form of a U-shaped absorbent member having a first portion and a second portion disposed on either side of a third central portion and a retainment member, which retainment member transversely engages both the first portion and the second portion of the absorbent member, the retainment member being adapted to fit between adjacent teeth of a dental patient, the first portion of the U-shaped absorbent member being adapted to be disposed on the internal side of the teeth of a dental patient between the teeth and the tongue of the patient, the second portion of the U-shaped absorbent member to be disposed between the cheek and the mucobuccal fold of the patient with the central portion of the U-shaped absorbent member surrounding a rear tooth of the patient, the distal end of the second portion of the U-shaped absorbent member being tapered.
