A safety clutch for releasable securing of a post for a body piercing is disclosed. The post is guided through hole in a plate to be secured (but removable) between a pair of cantilever spring elements bent from the edges of the plate into position on the back side of the plate. A dome shield is also secured to the edge of plate to cover the cantilever spring elements on back side of the clutch, the dome shield including one or more ventilation holes for reducing moisture accumulation within the dome shield. The dome shield blocks an end of the post extending between the cantilever spring elements from contacting the user and possibly puncturing skin. The plate, dome shield and cantilever spring elements can be efficiently manufactured by forming and stamping from a single piece of material.

A finding used with dangle jewelry with a decorative jewel element configured to attach to a flesh tunnel or an orifice formed in an earlobe. The finding includes a single, thin rigid wire with two longitudinally aligned posts formed on opposite ends configured for insertion into the opposite ends of the flesh tunnel or orifice. The sections of the wire adjacent to the posts form earlobe extending sections that extend downward over the opposite surfaces of the earlobe. Formed below the earlobe extending sections is a compression ring with two side elements on opposite sides of the finding's longitudinal axis. Each side element is integral with the earlobe extending section located on the opposite side of the earlobe. When the two side elements are forced inward the two posts located are forced apart allowing the finding to be easily attached or detached from the flesh tunnel or orifice.

A painless slow-expanding piercing needle and a method for using same are disclosed. The painless slow-expanding piercing needle includes: a piercing needle with a diameter not greater than 0.3 mm; and a wire having a first end and a second end. The first end has a greater diameter than second end, the second end is connected to the piercing needle, and the first end is curled into a spiral tube shape. After piercing from one side to form a wound, the piercing needle is separated from second end, and the second end is curled into a spiral tube shape and curled up at the other side of the wound. After the wound heals, uncurling the first end by a length, moving the wire toward the second end to a proper position and curling the first and the second ends tightly are performed for several times until hole expansion is achieved.
