PERINEAL THERAPY PAD
A body-contoured, T-shaped pad is designed to treat trauma to the perineal region of a new mother or other patient. The pad design may include specially designed T-shaped pad portions, an integrated ice pack, and relative positioning of the layers which combine to provide both cooling properties and proper absorption. For example, the pad includes an absorptive layer next to the skin, with an ice bag next to the absorptive layer which is designed to accept ice chips from commonly available ice machines found in hospital settings. The size and configuration of the pad assembly is designed for comfort, mobility, and compatibility with a patient's own undergarments. This design provides a cost-effective, single pad assembly which combines infection control with proper absorbency, provides high levels of patient comfort, and protects the dignity of the patient.
ADJUSTABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention relates to an adjustable absorbent article comprising a top sheet, a bottom sheet, an absorbent core located between the top sheet and the bottom sheet, the absorbent core having two longitudinal ends. Said absorbent core has an oblong shape, wherein one of the longitudinal ends has a triangular shape and an absorbent panel overlapped on the periphery of the triangular-shaped longitudinal end of the absorbent core. Said absorbent panel folds to fit different types of garments.
Said adjustable absorbent article also comprises an absorbent core with a section corresponding to an absorbent section, which extends from the periphery of the triangular-shaped longitudinal end towards the exterior of the absorbent article, wherein said absorbent section folds to fit different types of garments.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article (1) includes a body (8) including a liquid-permeable top sheet (3), a liquid-impermeable bottom sheet (2), and an absorber (4) provided between the top sheet and the bottom sheet, and a hip holding portion (H). The body has a shape having a predetermined length in a front-rear direction and a predetermined width in a direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction. The hip holding portion includes a side region protruding from a rear side portion of the body and a rear region protruding from the rear end of the body, and includes a first protruding portion (41) including a portion where the width of the body from a centerline in the front-rear direction is largest, a first depressed portion (51) forward of and adjacent to the first protruding portion, and a second protruding portion (42) forward of and adjacent to the first depressed portion in the side region. The width (c) of the second protruding portion from the centerline is smaller than or equal to the smallest width (d) of the first depressed portion from the centerline.

Absorbent article with flat-back protection feature
An absorbent article includes a base-structure and an elevatable structure known as a flat-back protection feature, that is capable of rising above the base-structure during article use. The flat-back protection feature utilizes either differences in material length compared with the length of the adjacent base-structure, or elastic materials, to maintain the feature elevation above the base-structure, while the article is in an extended condition. The flat-back protection feature extends into the intergluteal cleft of a wearer during use. Embossment features on the absorbent article are used to facilitate folding of the absorbent article, enhance the functionality of the protection feature, and/or improve the ease of manufacture.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article includes: a main body (8) including a liquid permeable top sheet (3), a liquid impermeable back sheet (2), and an absorbent body (4) interposed between the top sheet and the back sheet; and a hip-holding portion (H), wherein the main body has a shape having a predetermined length in a front-back direction and a predetermined width in a direction orthogonal to the front-back direction, and wherein the hip-holding portion includes a side region protruding from a side of a rear portion of the main body, the side region including a first projection (41) that includes a portion having a largest width from a center line in the front-back direction of the main body, a first recess (51) that is located adjacent to and forward of the first projection, and a second projection (52) that is located adjacent to and forward of the first recess, and wherein the back sheet in the side region has a slip preventive portion for securing the absorbent article, the slip preventive portion being disposed so as to straddle, in the front-back direction, a virtual line that is drawn in the width direction from a bottom point of the first recess.
