Self-disinfecting drain trap having a coating
10428500 · 2019-10-01 · ·

The invention relates to a self-disinfecting drain trap in wastewater drains, having an automatic cleaning through an electromagnetic oscillator and an automatic disinfection through heat, UV-C radiation, antibacterial coating, or ultrasound. The inner wall of the drain trap may be coated with a titanium dioxide nano-coating, on which a catalytic oxidizing reduction of organic substances that can be oxidized takes place, and microorganisms are killed. The titanium dioxide nano-coating may be activated through irradiation with at least one light source located inside or outside the drain trap. When the cleaning and disinfection functions are inactive, a retrograde microbial contamination of the barrier fluid is prevented, both on the part of the wastewater drain as well as through the ambient air, through the oxidizing disinfecting effect of the titanium dioxide nano-coating.

Surface Water Quality Monitoring Method Based on High Spatial Resolution Satellite

A surface water quality monitoring method based on a high spatial resolution satellite includes: step 1. building standard surface water quality pools by mixing natural water bodies with clean water in different proportions to obtain surface water quality data; step 2. obtaining high spatial resolution remote sensing images for processing; step 3. identifying remote sensing bands with higher correlation through correlation analysis by presetting ratio values of remote sensor data bands and the standard surface water quality pools; step 4. building a water quality parameter retrieval model, and comparing and retrieving the remote sensing bands with higher correlation and the surface water quality data to obtain water quality data; and step 5. identifying abnormal points of the water quality based on the water quality data and water quality data threshold of the surface water.

PROCESS FOR MONITORING THE CONCENTRATION OF BACTERIA IN A WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORK

A process for monitoring the concentration of bacteria in the water of a water distribution network, wherein the process includes the following steps: measuring the concentration of bacteria in the water by means of a first sensor positioned at a first location in the water distribution network, determining a variable instantaneous value of the expected concentration of bacteria in the water at the first location as a function of a parameter characteristic of the water, comparing the concentration of bacteria in the water measured by the first sensor to the variable instantaneous value, corrective action acting on the concentration of bacteria in the water if the concentration of bacteria in the water measured by the first sensor exeeds the variable instantaneous value. A device for monitoring the concentration of bacteria in the water of a water distribution network is also provided.

Method for Monitoring and Control of a Wastewater Process Stream

The invention is directed towards methods, compositions, and apparatus for accurately detecting the presence and amounts of contaminants in wastewater. The method comprises the steps of adding to a volume of wastewater at least one tracer molecule, observing the tracer for indications of particular contaminants, conducting at least one second form of contamination detection, and interrelating the two measured properties to identify the specific composition of the contamination. Using a tracer molecule allows for the detection of otherwise hard to detect oils and grease. Use of the second method however compensates for tracer interfering contaminants and allows for more accurate readings. The invention includes feeding of functional chemicals in response to the detections and conducting the detections online and continuously.

ONLINE MONITOR FOR TRACE SODIUM IN HIGH-PURITY WATER, AND ONLINE MONITORING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREOF
20190178864 · 2019-06-13 ·

An online monitor for trace sodium in high-purity water, and an online monitoring method and device thereof are provided. Under the control of an embedded industrial computer, an injection-calibration system conveys calibrated water samples and to-be-measured water samples to a flame atomization system continuously and stably. The flame atomization system forms a negative pressure field using a high-purity hydrogen-oxygen mixture as carrier gas, draws in the to-be-measured water samples for atomization, mixing and droplet separation, and then ignites a characteristic spectrum which emits sodium at a high-temperature inner cone. A photoelectric sensor system quickly scans the characteristic spectrum of sodium, and outputs a second-order differential modulation sodium spectrum after removing background interferences. A data acquisition system acquires an analog signal of the second-order differential modulation sodium spectrum, converts the analog signal into a digital signal and outputs the digital signal to the embedded industrial computer for real-time monitoring and control.
