The growing system may include a container having a plurality of subsystems therein. The plurality of subsystems may include a plant production system, an environmental regulation system, an energy capture system, a control system, and a dosage system. The plant production system may include an Ebb and Flow irrigation system and one or more Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) irrigation systems. A single reservoir may supply the Ebb and Flow irrigation system and a NFT irrigation system to provide a dual technique, single nutrient supply source irrigation system for plant production. An energy capture system which utilizes the kinetic energy of flowing liquid to generate electrical energy may be integrated into one or more irrigation systems within the plant production system.

METHOD OF REPAIRING A HYDROGENERATOR

A method for repairing an electric generator having a rotor that rotates about a vertical axis, the rotor including a spider having a number of spider arms extending radially away from the axis, and a rim surrounding the spider. The weight of the rim is normally carried at least in part by rim support ledges of the spider arms. The method for repair includes supporting the rim from the top of the spider and thereby relieving some or all of the weight of the rim being supported by the rim support ledges.

Energized fluid nozzles for splash pads

A nozzle assembly for residential splash pads can include a housing disposed at an interface of the residential splash pad and one or more channels configured to direct a flow of a fluid out of the nozzle assembly and into the residential splash pad. An energy-emitting fixture (such as an LED) can be disposed within the housing and configured to emit energy into the residential splash pad. The nozzle assembly can include a generator and a turbine connected to the generator. The nozzle assembly can further include a flow-diverting mechanism to direct the flow of the fluid to the turbine and increase the velocity of the flow of the fluid at a turbine interface.

Adjustment valve with energy recovery

A control valve (1) comprising a valve body (2) having an inlet opening (3) and an outlet opening (4) for a fluid; a obturator (6) placed within the valve body (2) between the inlet and outlet openings (3, 4); recovery means (5) configured to transfer kinetic energy and/or potential energy extracted from the fluid out of the valve body (2), the recovery means (5) comprising a rotating element (7) placed within the valve body (2) downstream of the obturator (6) and configured to be put in rotation by the fluid.

Hydroelectric power generation device for operation with water flow of sanitary piping

A hydroelectric power generation device is structure to utilize water flowing to generate electrical power that could be supplied to a bathroom installation and is generally made up of a functional main body, a battery assembly, and a power generation module. The functional main body has two opposite sides each including a mounting end formed thereon. The functional main body forms therein a receiving chamber. The power generation module includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor is coupled, in a manner of being rotatable, to an axle, which is coupled to a vane wheel. Water flowing into the device drives the vane wheel and the rotor to rotate simultaneously so that magnetic interaction between the rotor and the stator generates electrical power that is supplied to a sensor controlling supply of water flow. A sleeve is fit over the axle for correcting and stably supporting the axle in rotation.

A combined pump and turbine (electromechanical converter), which may be operable as a motorized centrifugal pump for starting a siphon and as an electromechanical turbine particularly for transmission of a liquid, such as water, in a water treatment plant. Recovery of energy from liquid flow with the combined pump and turbine, particularly in water treatment applications, allows for increased energy gains.

WATERSPARK CHARGING ASSEMBLY

A charging assembly includes a conduit assembly configured to be fluidly coupled with a pre-existing conduit through which a liquid flows, and a hydroelectric generator coupled with the conduit assembly such that at least part of the liquid flowing through the pre-existing conduit flows through the hydroelectric generator. The hydroelectric generator is configured to create an electric current based on flow of the liquid through the hydroelectric generator. The assembly also includes an energy storage assembly conductively coupled with the hydroelectric generator. The energy storage assembly is configured to store electric energy of the electric current created by the hydroelectric generator.
