THREE-DIMENSIONAL NONWOVEN MATERIALS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
Three dimensional nonwoven materials and methods of manufacturing such materials are disclosed. In one embodiment, a nonwoven material may comprise a plurality of fibers, a first surface, and an apertured zone comprising: a plurality of nodes extending away from a base plane on the first surface, a plurality of connecting ligaments interconnecting the plurality of nodes, wherein a majority of the plurality of nodes include at least three connecting ligaments connecting to adjacent nodes, and a plurality of openings. The apertured zone may further comprise a lane of nodes which extends substantially in the longitudinal direction, and wherein the lane of nodes extending substantially in the longitudinal direction is formed of longitudinally adjacent nodes which are aligned such that lines drawn between centers of longitudinally adjacent nodes within the lane of nodes each form an angle with respect to the longitudinal direction of less than about 20 degrees.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL NONWOVEN MATERIALS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
Three dimensional nonwoven materials and methods of manufacturing such materials are disclosed. In one embodiment, a nonwoven material may comprise a plurality of fibers and may further comprise an opposing first surface and a second surface, an apertured zone comprising a plurality of nodes extending away from a base plane on the first surface, a plurality of connecting ligaments interconnecting the plurality of nodes, and a plurality of openings providing a percent open area for the apertured zone that is greater than about 15%, as determined by the Material Sample Analysis Test Method. The material may further comprise a first and second side zones with the nonwoven material having a material width and the first and second side zones having first and second side zone widths, and wherein each of the first and second side zone widths are between about 5% and about 25% of the nonwoven material width.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL NONWOVEN MATERIALS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
Three dimensional nonwoven materials and absorbent articles comprising such materials are disclosed. In one embodiment, an absorbent article may comprise an outer cover, a bodyside liner, an absorbent body, and a nonwoven material coupled to the bodyside liner. The nonwoven material may comprise an apertured zone providing a percent open area for the apertured zone that is greater than about 15%. The nonwoven material may be coupled to liner by a front waist bond forming a front waist bonding region which extends through the apertured zone and a rear waist bond forming a rear waist bonding region, wherein the rear waist bonding region has a length that is between about 2% and about 10% of the material length and the front waist bonding region has a length that is between about 20% and about 50% of the material length.

An absorbent article including at least a topsheet layer and a backsheet layer, each layer having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, and longitudinal and transversal edges, the article having a longitudinal front portion, a longitudinal back portion and a crotch portion located between the front and the back portion, the article includes a first zone of microencapsulated phase change material on a surface of a layer of the article, and wherein the first zone has a non-linear boundary in at least the transversal direction of the article.
Disposable hygiene article with improved fit
A disposable hygiene article having an absorbent core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core comprises a high-density first region and a low density second region. The absorbent core in the crotch region has first and second rear compression lines. The compression lines mutually diverge in a direction towards the core front edge. Each line has a diverging angle (α.sub.2; α.sub.3) of from 15-60° with respect to a centre line (A). The second region has an average density which is at least 20% lower than the average density of the first region.
Disposable hygiene article with improved fit
A disposable hygiene article having an absorbent core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core comprises a high-density first region and a low density second region. The absorbent core in the crotch region has first and second rear compression lines. The compression lines mutually diverge in a direction towards the core front edge. Each line has a diverging angle (α.sub.2; α.sub.3) of from 15-60° with respect to a centre line (A). The second region has an average density which is at least 20% lower than the average density of the first region.
Disposable absorbent article comprising a core with multiple laminates
Disposable absorbent articles suitable for providing leakage protection for users that experience relatively small to relatively large discharges of fluids wherein the article comprises a chassis which comprises a primary topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core having a front end portion, a central portion, and a rear end portion along its length, the core being disposed between the primary topsheet and the backsheet, and wherein the core comprises 1) a first laminate which includes a first superabsorbent layer disposed onto a first distribution layer and 2) a second laminate which includes a second distribution layer joined to a second superabsorbent layer; wherein the first distribution layer is joined to the second distribution layer in an offset manner along the length of the core such that a central portion of the core is formed from an overlapping joinder of the first and second laminates.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH CHANNELS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
An absorbent article comprising a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent core comprising an absorbent material between a top core wrap sheet and a back core wrap sheet, said absorbent core being positioned in between said topsheet and said backsheet; said absorbent core having a first and second longitudinal edge (131, 132) and a front and rear transverse edge (133, 134), wherein the absorbent core is provided with a plurality of attachment zones where the top core wrap sheet is attached to the back core wrap sheet, wherein the plurality of attachment zones comprises: at least a first and a second elongate attachment zone, said first and second elongate attachment zone extending next to each other from a crotch region in the direction of the front and/or rear transverse edge; at least one connecting attachment zone connecting said first attachment zone with said second attachment zone.

A sanitary napkin includes a plurality of widthwise compressed grooves which are disposed in a region to the rear of a region corresponding to a bodily fluid discharge part H of a wearer, extend in a substantially widthwise direction of the sanitary napkin, are formed in a shape bulging toward the rear, and are arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin; and a right and left pair of longitudinally compressed grooves which extend along substantially the longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin and are each arranged on the outside in the width direction at a predetermined separating distance from the widthwise compressed grooves. The widthwise compressed grooves are formed such that the groove widths and lengths thereof become gradually larger as the widthwise compressed grooves are arranged relatively closer to the rear of the sanitary napkin.
