Disposable hygiene article with improved fit
A disposable hygiene article having an absorbent core with a first area having its narrowest width in the transverse direction in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core has a high-density region and a low density region. The absorbent core has a compression line forming an essentially upside down turned V such that the front tip of the V is located on the centre line and the legs of the V diverge towards the core rear edge at a mutual angle (α.sub.1) of from 30-120°. The low density region has an average density which is at least 20%, preferably at least 30% and most preferably at least 50% lower than the average density of the high density region. Also disclosed is a method of making the article.

Disposable hygiene article with improved fit
The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article having a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. Further, the absorbent core in the crotch portion has at least one front compression line forming an essentially upside down turned V comprising a first leg, a second leg and a common front tip with a V-shaped second compression line in the front portion having a third leg and a fourth leg. Each of the legs extends and diverges at a mutual angle (α.sub.4) of from 30-120° in the respective mirror-imaged portions (I) and (II). The common front tip is located in contact with or at a distance from an imaginary transverse line indicating the narrowest width M.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article comprising a top-surface sheet 3, a back-surface sheet 2, and absorber 4 interposed between, and a pair of left and right side sheets 7 over an entire length on both side portions of a skin-contact surface side. An inner side in a width direction of each of the side sheets 7 is folded back in the width direction to be laminated in a plurality of layers. A laminated portion 8 of the side sheets 7 includes lower layer side embossed portions 9 for joining the bottom layers of the side sheets 7 and a top-surface sheet 3, and skin-side embossed portions 10 obtained by integrally denting the side sheets 7 of the laminated portion 8 from the skin-contact surface side. The lower-layer-side embossed portions 9 and the skin-side embossed portions 10 are formed in different plane patterns. The absorbent article suppresses deterioration of touch to the skin and obtains good wearing feeling while ensuring sufficient joining strength in a joining portion of side sheets.
Absorbent Article Having A Graphic Visible Through Body Contacting Surface
An absorbent article having a body contacting surface a garment contacting surface; and an absorbent core disposed therebetween is disclosed. The garment contacting surface has a garment contacting layer with a plurality of graphic elements. A circumferential edge of the article truncates a portion of the plurality of graphic elements.
Discreet Disposable Absorbent Article
Disposable absorbent articles suitable for providing leakage protection for users that experience relatively small to relatively large discharges of fluids wherein the article comprises a chassis which comprises a primary topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core having a front end portion, a central portion, and a rear end portion along its length, the core being disposed between the primary topsheet and the backsheet, and the article exhibits an article length of from about 371 mm to about 500 mm according to the Article Length Method; a dry pad thickness of between about 4.6 mm to about 12 mm according to a Pad Thickness Method; and an Energy of Recovery at a load of 30 ml of from about 4 mJ to about 11 mJ according to a Bunch Compression Method.
