Air-conditioning apparatus
An air-conditioning apparatus includes; a first heat source device configured to transfer heat to process air using as a heat source a vapor-compression refrigeration cycle; a second heat source device configured to transfer heat to the process air using an other heat source different from the vapor-compression refrigeration cycle; and a controller configured to control the first heat source device and the second heat source device. The controller deactivates the first heat source device and activates the second heat source device when, during a period in which the first heat source device is being operated to heat the process air, a temperature of the heated process air is kept at a target temperature and a parameter indicating an energy consumption of the first heat source device exceeds a first threshold value.
Ducted Heating and Cooling System
A heating and cooling system or installation for heating or cooling air within a building space, including a water chiller for chilling water and a coil to which the chilled water can be delivered. Air can then be driven by a fan through the coil to cool the air and the cooled air can be delivered into the building space for cooling the building space. The system can include a water heating facility to heat water that is delivered to the coil so that air driven through the coil can be heated. The coil is connected to ducting for delivering cooled or heated air to the building space.
PORTABLE THERMOSTAT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure relates to a thermostat including a control base configured to couple with and support a portable thermostat, wherein the control base is configured to determine a measure of an environmental condition of a local environment of the control base and communication circuitry of the control base configured to communicate the measure to facilitate control of an HVAC system.
Air conditioning system
An air conditioning system includes a heat pump unit including a radiator usable with a refrigerant, a gas furnace unit including a heating section arranged to heat passing air, a blower arranged to generate an air flow that passes through the radiator and the heating section, a first temperature sensor provided in a room, and a controller configured to control each action of the heat pump unit, the gas furnace unit, and the blower. The temperature sensor detects an indoor temperature in the room. The controller causes the gas furnace unit to operate as a heat source unit when a difference value obtained by subtracting the indoor temperature from a set temperature is equal to or greater than a first threshold at startup, and causes the heat pump unit to operate as a heat source unit when the difference value is less than the first threshold at startup.
Air conditioning system
An air conditioning system includes a heat pump having a refrigerant radiator, a gas furnace unit having a heating section to heat passing air, a blower generating air flow through the radiator and the heating section, and a controller controlling operation of the heat pump unit, the gas furnace unit, and the blower. The controller has a first operating mode in which the gas furnace unit operates alone as a heat source unit, a second operating mode in which the heat pump unit operates alone as a heat source unit, and a third operating mode in which the gas furnace unit and the heat pump unit operate at the same time as a heat source unit. The controller is configured to select the operating modes based on a parameter relating to outside air temperature that is the temperature of outside air.
Gas heat-pump system
A gas heat-pump system is provided. The gas heat-pump system may include an air-conditioning system including at least one compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expander, an indoor heat exchanger, and a refrigerant pipe; an engine configured to provide power for an operation of the at least one compressor, and in which a mixed fuel, in which a fuel and air are mixed, is burned; a cooling water pump which pumps a flow of cooling water that cools the engine; a cooling water pipe connected to the cooling water pump, and configured to guide the flow of the cooling water; an auxiliary heat exchanger in which heat exchange between the cooling water flowing through the cooling water pipe and a refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant pipe is performed; a hot water heat exchanger, in which heat exchange between the cooling water flowing through the cooling water pipe and a fluid supplied from a hot water supply tank is performed; and a plurality of flow switches installed at the cooling water pipe, and controlled so that the cooling water discharged from the engine is guided to the auxiliary heat exchanger or the hot water heat exchanger.
COMPACT AIR HANDLER WITH MULTIPLE FANS
A HVAC system for conditioning an interior zone includes an air handler configured to operate at least one of a plurality air distribution modules affixed to the air handler.
HEATING SYSTEM
The invention refers to a heating system (100) comprising a district cooling grid (1) and a local heating system (200) configured to heat a building and/or to heat tap water for the building. The heating system has a feed conduit (5) for an incoming flow of cooling fluid having a first temperature, and a return conduit (8) for a return flow of cooling fluid having a second temperature, the second temperature being higher than the first temperature. The local heating system (200) comprises a heat pump (10) having an inlet (10a) connected to the return conduit (8) of the district cooling grid (1) and an outlet (10b) connected to the feed conduit (5) of the district cooling grid (1).
HEAT PUMP APPARATUS FOR AIR RENEWAL IN DOMESTIC ROOMS AND THE METHOD OF OPERATION THEREOF
A heat pump apparatus for air renewal in rooms and, in particular, to an improved compact heat pump apparatus with components contained in a single casing to be mounted inside a room. Moreover, the invention is related to a method of operation of the apparatus inside a room able to activate a heat recovery action and/or renewal of stale air, heating, cooling or dehumidification.
