20230027426 · 2023-01-26 · ·

A backup power-supply device including a control unit is provided. In a case where a main power supply is normal when an ignition is turned on, the control unit controls to turn on or off a charging circuit to charge a capacitor from the main power supply so that a voltage of the capacitor becomes constant at a target voltage and turns off the discharging circuit to stop discharging from the capacitor to a first electronic device. In a case where an abnormality occurs in the main power supply when the ignition is turned on, the control unit turns off the charging circuit to stop charging from the main power supply to the capacitor and turns on the discharging circuit to perform discharging from the capacitor to the first electronic device.

The system can include one or more hopper assemblies configured to provide a controlled dose of beverage material to a brew chamber. The system can also include a water input system configured to wet the ground beverage material as the grinds enter the brew chamber and substantially prevent steam from reaching grinder components of the system. Further, the system can include an automatic cleaning mechanism such that a user does not need to manually clean components of a brewing machine between brew cycles.

Discontinuous reception alignment in dual connectivity networks

A 3GPP LTE protocol enhancement realizes the full benefit of discontinuous reception (DRX) in Long Term Evolution networks by coordinating and aligning DRX operations for conserving power and timing overhead. A dual connectivity enabled User Equipment (UE) comprising a processor and transceiver is configured to align DRX configuration between counterpart Evolved Node Bs (eNB)s, wherein counterpart eNBs are a Master eNB (MeNB) and a Secondary eNB (SeNB) simultaneously connected to the UE, communicate system frame timing and system frame number (SFN) information between the counterpart eNBs, align DRX start offset (drxStartOffset) values for the counterpart eNBs according to the communicated system frame timing and SFN information to compensate for offsets in system frame timing, and allow the start of a DRX ON duration at specific frame or sub-frame times determined by the drxStartOffset values, after the expiration of a DRX inactivity timer.

Digital Messages in a Load Control System

A load control system may comprise load control devices for controlling respective electrical loads, and a system controller operable to transmit digital messages including different commands to the load control devices in response to a selection of a preset. The different commands may include a preset command configured to identify preset data in a device database stored at the load control device and/or a multi-output command configured to define the preset data for being stored in the device database. The system controller may decide which of the commands to transmit to the load control devices in response to the selection of the preset.

Intrinsically safe energy transmission unit for supplying an electrical device with increased power

A safe energy supply unit (1) and system, for supplying an electrical device (8) in an explosion-proof area, transmits power from an energy source (9), including a plurality of galvanically isolated individual sources, with a multiple line connection (2) with a plurality of galvanically isolated and individually shielded conductor pairs (31, 32, 33, 34). A collector device (4), in an explosion-proof jacket (5) at an end of the multiple line (3), has uncoupling devices (45) for the galvanically isolated conductor pairs and a combiner circuit (47, 49) that combines the transmitted electric power from each line into a global power. The global power is outputted at an output (48) of the collector device to the electrical device. The conductor pairs allow for an increased global power, which is scalable, safely transmittable, with standard, conductor pairs. The electrical device is intrinsically safely supplied with high power with minimal effort.

Building energy system with predictive control of battery and green energy resources

A building energy system includes HVAC equipment, green energy generation, a battery, and a predictive controller. The HVAC equipment provide heating or cooling for a building. The green energy generation collect green energy from a green energy source. The battery stores electric energy including at least a portion of the green energy provided by the green energy generation and grid energy purchased from an energy grid and discharges the stored electric energy for use in powering the HVAC equipment. The predictive controller generates a constraint that defines a total energy consumption of the HVAC equipment at each time step of an optimization period as a summation of multiple source-specific energy components and optimizes the predictive cost function subject to the constraint to determine values for each of the source-specific energy components at each time step of the optimization period.
