Organic material gasification system, and carbonization furnace and gasification furnace used therefor
An organic material gasification system is configured such that a carbonization furnace provided with a first air supply mechanism that radiates high-temperature combustion air and high-temperature steam to an organic material combustion region and with a second air supply mechanism that supplies combustion air to an exhaust gas combustion region, to discharge high-temperature exhaust gas is connected to a gasification furnace including a heating unit penetrating through a reactor. A carbide from the carbonization furnace is supplied to the reactor, and the high-temperature exhaust gas from the carbonization furnace is supplied to the heating unit, so that the carbonization efficiency and the carbonization quality are improved and the gasification efficiency is improved.
Baler Boiler Apparatus and Method
A bale boiler incinerates bales of material, and particularly bales made from waste, garbage and other refuse, in order to provide heat for a steam turbine generator, and includes a conveyor for transporting bales of waste material through a three-stage boiler. The boiler is preferably divided into three stages: 1) the warming stage, 2) the main incineration stage, and 3) the supplemental incineration stage. In the warming stage, the bale is warmed and dried. In the main incineration stage, the bale is burned to create heat that is then used to power a steam turbine electrical generator or the like. In the third, supplemental incineration stage, the remnants of the bale burn down to ash, and the remaining ash and non-combustible waste are then transported out of the boiler by the conveyor and dumped into a receptacle or container for transport and disposal.
ENGINE EMISSION TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
An engine emission treatment system incudes at least one out of an air inlet dust removal system (101), a tail gas dust removal system (102), and a tail gas ozone purification system. The tail gas dust removal system (102) has an inlet of the tail gas dust removal system, an outlet of the tail gas dust removal system, and a tail gas electric field device (1021). The tail gas ozone purification system has a reaction field (202), used for mixing an ozone stream and a tail gas stream for reaction. The engine emission treatment system may effectively treat engine emissions, so as to make the engine emissions cleaner.
Mineral Additive Blend Compositions and Methods for Operating Waste to Energy Combustors for Improving their Operational Performance and Availability, Protecting Combustor Materials and Equipment, Improving Ash Quality and Avoiding Combustion Problems
Mineral additives and a method for operating a waste-to-energy furnace are provided in order to improve its operational performance and availability, increase the lifetime of the combustor building materials (refractory walls and heat-exchanger metallic tubes) and flue gas treatment equipment, improve ash quality, reduce emissions and avoid combustion problems such as agglomeration, slagging, deposition, and corrosion. A method for operating a waste-to-energy furnace, such as a fluidized bed reactor, pulverized-fuel combustor, grate combustor includes introducing mineral additive into the furnace. The method further includes heating at least a portion of the mineral additive either intimately in contact with the fuel, such that the ability of mineral additive to induce crystallization of the surface of forming ashes is enhanced, or minimizing the contact of the mineral additive with the fuel and the forming ashes, such that the solid-gas reactions between the mineral additive and the volatile compounds in the flue gas are favored and the mineral additive power to capture at least a portion of the inorganic volatile compounds present in the furnace is enhanced.
EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT DEVICE AND EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT METHOD
An exhaust gas treatment device includes an exhaust gas line where a combustion exhaust gas discharged from a power generation facility flows through, an exhaust gas line where a second combustion exhaust gas discharged from a second power generation facility flows through, exhaust gas exhaust line disposed by branching off from exhaust gas line, discharging a part of combustion exhaust gases as exhaust combustion exhaust gases, a nitrogen oxide removing unit removing nitrogen oxide contained in an integrated combustion exhaust gas that integrates the combustion exhaust gases, an integrated waste heat recovery boiler recovering waste heat from the integrated combustion exhaust gas, and a CO.sub.2 recovery unit recovering CO.sub.2 contained in the integrated combustion exhaust gas by using CO.sub.2 absorbing liquid.
EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT DEVICE AND EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT METHOD
An exhaust gas treatment device includes an exhaust gas line through which a combustion exhaust gas discharged from a power generation facility flows, a waste heat recovery boiler recovering waste heat of the combustion exhaust gas, a branch exhaust gas line provided to be connected between a front stage and a downstream stage of the waste heat recovery boiler on a main exhaust gas line, a nitrogen oxide removal unit removing nitrogen oxide in an integrated combustion exhaust gas into which a combustion exhaust gas flowing through the main exhaust gas line and a combustion exhaust gas flowing through the branch exhaust gas line are integrated, an integrated waste heat recovery boiler recovering waste heat of the integrated combustion exhaust gas from which nitrogen oxide has been removed, and a CO.sub.2 recovery unit recovering CO.sub.2 in the integrated combustion exhaust gas.
THERMAL SLUDGE TO ENERGY TRANSFORMER
Systems and processes provide for a thermal process to transform sludge (and a variety of other natural waste materials) into electricity. Dewatered sludge and other materials containing a high amount of latent energy are dried into a powdered biofuel using a drying gas produced in the system. The drying gas is recirculated and is heated by the biofuel produced in the system, waste heat (from turbines or internal combustion engines), gas (including natural gas or digester gas) and/or oil. The biofuel is combusted in a boiler system that utilizes a burner operable to burn biofuel and produce heat utilized in a series of heat exchangers that heat the recirculating drying air and steam that powers the turbines for electricity production.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING BIOMASS BY TREATMENT OF ORGANIC WASTE WITH TWO-STEP DRYING
The continuous process of the present invention is intended to obtain dry biomass from two treatment steps by drying organic waste. The waste previously sieved and crushed waste are dumped into a first dryer, inside of which temperatures are between 280° C. and 300° C. at the inlet thereof and between 90° C. and 100° C. at the outlet, then passing to a conveyor belt where at room temperature a partial cool-down occurs and the waste is dumped into a second dryer inside of which the temperatures are between 180° C. and 200° C. at the inlet and between 75° C. and 85° C. at the exit, completing the process, during which the interior of the dryers is maintained in negative pressure through exhaust flow and the oxygen content is kept between 5 and 7%.
TILE ASSEMBLY FOR A WATERWALL PANEL
An array of tile assemblies is fixedly connected to a common waterwall panel to form a refractory liner for an incinerator. Each tile assembly includes a unitary, clip-type, metallic anchor, which is directly welded to the waterwall panel, and a solid refractory tile slidably connected to the anchor through a dovetail locking mechanism. The rear surface of the refractory tile includes a longitudinal rib from which projects a dovetail pin configured to receive the anchor. The longitudinal rib increases the overall thickness of the refractory tile through the region of interconnection with the anchor. In this manner, the anchor is suitably protected by the refractory tile from intense heat which may otherwise cause mechanical failure in the locking mechanism. Additionally, the solid construction of refractory tile both limits the presence of air gaps within the tile assembly and reduces the likelihood of tile fragmentation or cracking.
