The solar power system is configured to supply a first direct current power. The energy storage system has an input electrically coupled to the solar power system and is configured to supply a second direct current power at 380 volts to the direct current bus system. The wind power system includes is electrically coupled to the energy storage system and is configured to supply a third direct current power.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STORING ENERGY
The method according to the invention relates to the storage of energy in the form of a compressed fluid which is pumped into a container (2) arranged below a water surface (4) to store the energy, wherein the fluid entering the container displaces an existing content, comprising water, from the container and into the surrounding water, and compressed fluid is removed from the container (2) to remove energy, wherein surrounding water flows back into the container according to the volume of the removed, compressed fluid, characterized in that the container (2) is provided with flexible walls at least in some parts and is arranged on a seabed (6) or lake bed (6) and there is covered by ballast (15) such that it is pressed against the substrate even when completely filled with compressed fluid.
Method for Provisionally Using an at Least Partially Constructed Lower Reservoir for an Underwater Pumped-Storage Power Plant
The energy transition involves the electrical power supply being almost completely covered by renewable energy sources such as solar plants or wind turbines. However, due to their naturally fluctuating output, these energy sources require the use of large energy storage systems, the realization of which still represents a major problem today. The present invention relates to supporting the construction of a large-scale pumped-storage power plant, e.g., in the Hambach open-pit mine, by enabling test operation as well as energy generation as early as during the construction phase.
Software abstraction layer for energy generation and storage systems
A software abstraction layer for energy generation and/or storage systems. In one embodiment, a method is provided that can comprise receiving, by a site gateway, one or more standardized operating parameters for a physical component of an energy storage system, and translating, by the site gateway, the one or more standardized operating parameters into one or more vendor specific parameters, where the one or more vendor specific parameters are specific to a vendor-defined communication protocol supported by the physical component. The physical component can then be controlled using the one or more vendor specific parameters.
METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING POWER DELIVERY TRANSACTION FOR POTENTIAL ELECTRICAL OUTPUT OF INTEGRATED RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE AND ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM FACILITY
Methods for implementing power delivery transactions between a buyer and a seller of electrical energy supplied to an electrical grid by an integrated renewable energy source (RES) and energy storage system (ESS) of a RES-ESS facility are provided. Estimated total potential output of the RES is compared to a point of grid interconnect (POGI) limit to identify potential RES overgeneration, and the buyer is charged if potential RES overgeneration is less than potential overgeneration during one or more retrospective time windows. The method provides a basis for the RES-ESS facility owner to be paid for an estimated amount of energy that did not get stored as a result of a grid operator not fully discharging an ESS prior to the start of a new day.
Hybrid battery system
A stationary hybrid battery back-up system incorporates two different battery units that differ in terms of recharging efficiency, cycle life, power capability, depth of discharge threshold, temperature threshold, internal impedance threshold, charger rate efficiency and/or stand-by efficiency. The battery back-up system of the present invention comprises an auxiliary power supply that can be used to charge the first and second batteries and/or provide power to a load. When the operating voltage of the system drops, due to a power failure of a power source, the control system may couple the first and/or second battery unit to a load. The control system may have voltage threshold limits wherein it engages the first and second battery units to support the load demand. The first and second battery units may be charge by the auxiliary power supply when the operating voltage is above a threshold level.
CLEANING MECHANISM HAVING SELF-LOCKING FUNCTION AND PHOTOVOLTAIC PANEL CLEANING EQUIPMENT HAVING SAME
A cleaning mechanism having a self-locking function, comprising a cleaning rack, a cleaning member and a sweeping member, adapted for use on photovoltaic panel, is disclosed. The cleaning rack comprising a first connecting rod, a second connecting rod, a third connecting rod and a fourth connecting rod which are detachably connected. The cleaning member being detachably mounted between the first connecting rod and the third connecting rod, used for stripping off adhesive materials on photovoltaic panel; the sweeping member used for sweeping adhesive materials away from photovoltaic panel. Cleaning mechanism further comprises a cleaning member power unit, detachably connected with the cleaning member and used for driving cleaning member to rotate; and cleaning member power unit comprises a self-locking device, used for preventing cleaning member from idling, and sundries are prevented from being twisted thereon and meanwhile unnecessary wear between cleaning member and photovoltaic panel can be reduced.
Energy generation (EG) system generating failsafe level of energy in case of communication failure
Embodiments may include a method of curtailing an output level of an EG system. The method may include receiving, at a processor, a first dynamic control signal. The first dynamic control signal may include an instruction to adjust an output level of an EG system to a first output level. The method may also include maintaining the output level of the EG system at the first output level for a predetermined period. The method may further include determining, by the processor, whether a second dynamic control signal is received during the predetermined period. If a second dynamic control signal is not received during the predetermined period, the method may include ramping down the output level at a predetermined rate after the predetermined period until a predetermined failsafe output level is achieved. The predetermined failsafe output level may be maintained until a third dynamic control signal is received by the processor.
Gravity assisted mechanical energy
(1) Gravity assisted mechanical machine that uses a combination of stored mechanical energy plus the downward force of gravity, regulated by a motor and a sophisticated switch powered by a rechargeable battery. The mechanical switch is also assisted by a lever so the motor is more efficient in the use of the battery power. (2) Older types of fuel powered mechanical machines cause greater pollution and need an enormous amount of support to continue operating daily. (3) The gravity assisted mechanical machine can be used without air and operates longer and more efficiently and is less noisy and has no emissions to cause pollution. It will not heat up like a conventional mechanical machine only when attached to a generator for electrical energy. It will work without the need for the enormous weight of fuel to produce electrical energy. It can be used to power some electrical generators, example wind mill generators, for all uses of electrical energy.
