VEHICLE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
The electronic control unit is configured to, when braking by the braking device is performed in a deceleration state where the coasting deceleration is equal to or less than a threshold value, distribute target braking force corresponding to requested deceleration to front-wheel braking force and rear-wheel braking force in accordance with a front-rear distribution ratio determined from the requested deceleration and the braking force distribution characteristics, and when the braking is performed in a deceleration state where the coasting deceleration is higher than the threshold value, distribute corrected target braking force to the front-wheel braking force and the rear-wheel braking force in accordance with the front-rear distribution ratio determined from total deceleration and the braking force distribution characteristics, the corrected target braking force being a sum of the target braking force and braking force that generates the coasting deceleration.
Vehicle and coasting feedback control method for the same
The present disclosure discloses a vehicle and a coasting feedback control method for the same. The coasting feedback control method includes the following steps: detecting the current speed of a vehicle, the depth of a braking pedal of the vehicle, and the depth of an accelerator pedal; and when the current speed of the vehicle is greater than a preset speed, both the depth of the braking pedal and the depth of the accelerator pedal are 0, and the current gear of the vehicle is gear D, when the vehicle is not in a cruise control mode and an anti-lock braking system of the vehicle is in a non-working state, controlling the vehicle to enter a coasting feedback control mode, where when the vehicle is in the coasting feedback control mode, a coasting feedback torque of a first motor generator and a coasting feedback torque of a second motor generator are distributed according to a selected coasting feedback torque curve of the vehicle.
Vehicle control apparatus
An object is to provide a vehicle control apparatus capable of enhancing fuel economy when coasting is performed by disconnecting a clutch disposed between an engine and drive wheels of the vehicle. A travel path and a travel pattern of a vehicle are predicted by a vehicle outside information collection device, such as a navigation system. Also, amounts of fuel consumption by normal traveling and coasting are predicted and compared, so that coasting control is performed in a case where an amount of fuel consumption can be reduced by performing the coasting control.
REAR MONITORING FOR AUTOMOTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS
An system and method of operating an adaptive cruise control system for a vehicle. In one example, the system includes a rearward facing sensor, a speed control, and a controller. The controller receives at least one parameter indicative of a road condition or a traffic condition. The controller then activates a coasting mode based on the at least one parameter. The controller receives a signal from the rearward facing sensor indicative of a presence of a target vehicle positioned behind the host vehicle and restricts the coasting mode when the signal from the rearward facing sensor detects the target vehicle is positioned behind the host vehicle. The controller performs coasting via the speed control when the signal from the rearward facing sensor does not detect the target vehicle positioned behind the host vehicle and when the coasting mode is active.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR DECELERATING A VEHICLE
A method for improving operation of a vehicle that includes an engine, a transmission, and a torque converter clutch is disclosed. In one example, the method assesses whether or not driver braking is expected and adjusts driveline braking accordingly. The method freewheels the driveline to extend vehicle coasting when driver braking is not expected and the method increases or decreases driveline braking based on a closing distance between the vehicle and an object in the vehicle's path.
METHOD AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL APPARATUS FOR OPERATING A MULTIPLE-SPEED VEHICLE TRANSMISSION
A method is disclosed for operating a multi-gear vehicle transmission in a motor vehicle during a coasting phase. The coasting phase includes an overrun phase with a driving gear engaged and a freewheeling phase with the neutral gear engaged. It is determined whether the motor vehicle is in the overrun phase of the coasting phase, whether a condition for a transition to the freewheeling phase of the coasting phase is fulfilled, and whether a transmission condition with elevated drag losses exists. If the motor vehicle is in the overrun phase of the coasting phase, if the condition for transition to the freewheeling phase is fulfilled, and if a transmission condition with elevated drag losses exists, then at least one further shifting element (D, E) is closed in addition to the shifting elements (A, B, C) of the driving gear, which are closed during the overrun phase of the motor vehicle.
Apparatus and method for learning clutch torque of dual clutch transmission
An apparatus and method of using the apparatus for learning a clutch torque of a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) includes judging whether shifting begins, controlling torque transmission of a coupling-side clutch and a release-side clutch to cross each other while following a coupling-side target clutch torque when shifting begins, and calculating and storing a learning value, after the controlling has begun, using a function determined by the relationship between an average value of an engine angular acceleration and a coupling-side shifter input-shaft angular acceleration, engine rotation inertia, and a torque compensated to the torque transmission of the coupling-side clutch for reducing a slippage of the release-side clutch by feedback control during a torque handover interval.
VEHICLE DRIVING CONTROL METHOD AND VEHICLE DRIVING CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle driving control method includes: controlling, by a controller, a speed of an engine included in a vehicle and a torque of the engine so that fuel consumption of the vehicle is minimized in an acceleration section of the vehicle, based on gradient information of a road on which the vehicle is being driven and an air resistance of the vehicle; and controlling, by the controller, the vehicle to perform coasting driving in a coasting driving section of the vehicle after a speed of the vehicle reaches a maximum speed of an operation mode, in which the vehicle is accelerated and then performs the coasting driving, by the control of the speed of the engine and the torque of the engine.
MULTI-SPEED TRANSMISSION AND METHOD OF CONTROL
A transmission is provided having a control module, an input member, an output member, four planetary gear sets, a plurality of interconnecting members, and a plurality of torque transmitting devices. Each of the planetary gear sets includes first, second and third members. The torque transmitting devices include clutches and brakes. The control module includes a control logic sequence for performing a coasting downshift of the transmission.
