NJUST50 with aerobic activated sludge to the filter tank for treatment.

METHOD FOR TREATING WASTEWATER
20220402790 · 2022-12-22 ·

The invention relates to a method for treating wastewater in an activated sludge process, which comprises a biological treatment step followed by a sedimentation step for separation of sludge and treated effluent water. The method comprises directing a part of the treated effluent water as a backflow from the sedimentation step to the biological treatment step, the backflow having an original pH value; adjusting the backflow pH from the original pH value to a first pH value between the sedimentation step and the biological treatment step, and adding a coagulant and/or an oxidant to the backflow after the adjustment of the backflow pH to the first pH value and before backflow's entry to the biological treatment step.

There is disclosed a water treatment system, a method of water treatment, and a fertilizer for use with the water treatment system and the method of water treatment. The water treatment system for hydroponic culture without pesticides comprises: an ionization device for the ionization of a culture water, the ionization device having at least one electrode for the release of divalent copper cations; a plant tray for the culture of plants; and a plurality of pipes fluidically connected to the ionization device and the plant tray, the culture water being in circulation through the water treatment system.

TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR CEPHALOSPORIN WASTEWATER AND TREATMENT METHOD THEREOF

A treatment system and method for cephalosporin wastewater are disclosed. The treatment system includes: a flocculation and sedimentation device, an alkali reaction tank, a PAC reaction tank, a PAM reaction tank, a wastewater heat exchanger, a wastewater heater and an oxidation reactor that are connected with each other in sequence, wherein the wastewater heat exchanger is provided with a material inlet, a material outlet, a heat source inlet and a heat source outlet. An oxidized water from the oxidation reactor enters the wastewater heat exchanger from the heat source inlet, the heat source outlet is connected with a product canister, the product canister is connected with a membrane filtration device to realize concentration treatment of a landfill leachate, the material inlet is connected with the PAM reaction tank, and the material outlet is connected with the wastewater heater. An outer side of the oxidation reactor is provided with a micro-interfacial generation system for dispersing and breaking a gas into bubbles. The treatment system of the prevent invention improves the contact of reaction phase interfaces after arranging the micro-interfacial generation system, which ensures a good wastewater treatment effect under relatively mild operating conditions.

AERATOR WITH ADDITIVE INJECTOR FOR WASTEWATER PROCESSING

An aerator for treating wastewater is configured to produce air bubbles to mix and circulate wastewater within a treatment facility. Additionally, the aerator is configured to inject additive into the wastewater at the same time as the air bubbles are being produced, so that roiling of the air bubbles and/or circulation induced by the air bubbles rising within the water column facilitates mixing of the additive with the wastewater.

Diffuser for aeration of a fluid

An elongate diffuser (10) comprises a diffuser body (30), and a membrane (20) attached so that introduction of gas at a working pressure into the diffuser displaces part of the membrane (20) from contact with the diffuser body (10) providing an elongate sealed compartment (50) between the membrane (20) and a surface (32) of the diffuser body (30). The gas can pass from the compartment (50) through the membrane (20) for aeration of fluid in which the diffuser (10) is immersed. The diffuser body surface (32) which bounds the compartment (50) is recessed away from the membrane (20) in use, to contribute to the lateral cross sectional area of the compartment (50) and facilitate distribution of gas along the diffuser by the compartment (50). An automatic purge valve for purging water from a gas feed pipe of a diffuser is also disclosed.

Cerium-lanthanum treatment method for reduction of contaminants in wastewater membrane bioreactors

Disclosed are methods of treating wastewater using a membrane bioreactor and achieving a target phosphorus concentration for the membrane permeate stream. These methods include the steps of dosing a wastewater stream with a rare earth clarifying agent and passing the dosed wastewater stream through the membrane to obtain a membrane permeate stream with a permeate concentration that is less than the phosphorus concentration of the influent stream. This permeate concentration also can be equal to or less than a target phosphorus concentration. In the methods as disclosed herein, the rare earth clarifying agent can be chloride salts of one or more rare earth elements and in certain embodiments, the rare earth clarifying agent can be CeCl.sub.3 and LaCl.sub.3.

Biofilm carriers for use in wastewater treatment

A process for forming a biofilm carrier suitable for use in a moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) is presented. A blowing agent is mixed with a plastic material to form a blended material. The blended material is then heated to a temperature where the blowing agent liberates gas by decomposition. The heated blended material is extruded through a die to provide the extrudate with a profile of the biofilm carrier. Advantageously, biofilm carriers produced in this manner have increased effectiveness when compared to conventional biofilm carriers.

System and Process for Removing Ammonium from a Wastewater Stream

The present invention relates to a side stream deammonification process where deammonification is performed by a non-continuous flow integrated fixed film activated sludge sequencing batch reactor (IFAS SBR) without the need of employing an external clarifier. More particularly, the present invention entails a single reactor designed to operate as an IFAS SBR or a moving bed bioreactor (MBBR). With the design of the single tank, the two operation modes, MBBR and IFAS SBR, are interchangeable depending on the treatment needs.
