An absorbent article (1) includes a liquid permeable intermediate sheet (5) arranged between a topsheet (2) and an absorbent member (4). A non-skin-facing surface of the intermediate sheet (5) has a plurality of contact portions (54S) that are in contact with the absorbent member (4) adjacent to the intermediate sheet, and a non-contact portion (54N) that is not in contact with the absorbent member (4). When the intermediate sheet (5) is pressed from the absorbent member (4) side in a thickness direction at a pressure of 30 gf/cm.sup.2, a proportion of a total area of contact faces on which the plurality of contact portions (54S) located on a pressed face that has been pressed are in contact with the absorbent member (4), with respect to the pressed face, is 80% or less.

Absorbent articles that include elastics in multiple layers are disclosed herein.

An elastic sheet for an absorbent article includes a first fibrous layer disposed on a first surface of the elastic sheet, a second fibrous layer disposed on a second surface of the elastic sheet opposite to the first surface, and contractible elastic members secured between the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer. The first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer each include continuous fibers of thermoplastic and gathers formed between adjacent ones of the elastic members. The gathers are disposed in an intersecting direction intersecting with a direction in which the elastic members extend. An average flexural rigidity value of the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer in accordance with a KES method is 0.003510.sup.4 to 0.02210.sup.4 (N.Math.m.sup.2/m). A thickness under a compression load to the gathers in accordance with the KES method is 0.22 to 1.5 mm.

A polymeric master batch for preparing an antimicrobal and antifungal and antiviral polymeric material comprising a slurry of thermoplastic resin, an antimicrobal and antifungal and antiviral agent consisting essentially of water insoluble particles of ionic copper oxide, a polymeric wax and an agent for occupying the charge of the ionic copper oxide.

Absorbent articles that include elastics in multiple layers are disclosed herein.

A membrane for skin comprising a plurality of randomly oriented core-shell nanofibers is provided in the present invention, where each of said core-shell nanofibers comprises at least an active-ingredient-loaded polymeric core and a non-polymeric shell consisting of active ingredients only surrounding the core. Related fabrication method of said membrane is also provided in the present invention.

An extensible composite including a first layer and a second layer, the first layer having a first layer first surface and a first layer second surface opposing the first layer first surface, the first layer being constructed of a non-woven material, the second layer having a second layer first surface facing the first layer first surface and a second layer second surface opposing the second layer first surface, the second layer being constructed of an elastomeric material and including a plurality of ribs extending from at least the second layer first surface, wherein at least a portion of the first layer first surface is attached to the second layer first surface at a plurality of attachment positions and the first layer and the second layer are configured to define a space between the first layer first surface and the second layer first surface between adjacent attachment positions.

An array of packages may comprise two or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The second absorbent article may have a larger Relaxed Product Side Length than the first absorbent article and/or a larger Relaxed Product Length than the first absorbent article.

A pet diaper includes: a top sheet; a back-surface sheet; an absorbent core disposed between the top sheet and the back-surface sheet; a tail hole portion including a hole body through which a tail of a pet is inserted; and an upright leak-proof gather including a rising portion including a contraction portion in which a leak-proof elastic member is disposed in a stretched state in a longitudinal direction, and a lateral fixed portion that is disposed away from the rising portion toward a lateral outer side and that functions as a rising fulcrum of the rising portion. The tail hole portion is disposed at a position that is away from an end edge of the absorbent core on the rear side toward the rear side. The contraction portion is disposed straddling a region between the tail hole portion and the absorbent core.

An average flexural rigidity value of the first fibrous layer and the second fibrous layer in accordance with a KES method is 0.003510.sup.4 to 0.02210.sup.4 (N.Math.m.sup.2/m). A thickness under a compression load to the gathers in accordance with the KES method is 0.22 to 1.5 mm.
