Degradable containment features
A degradable containment includes an outer structural layer constructed of a pulp material, a central carrier layer constructed of a biopolymer, and an interior nanomaterial layer constructed of a nanomaterial.
HEAT-INSULATED CONTAINER FOR BEVERAGES
A heat-insulated container for beverages includes: a wooden or bamboo inner cylinder having a substantially cylindrical shape with a closed bottom; a wooden or bamboo outer cylinder having a substantially cylindrical shape with a closed bottom; and a fit body where decompressed space is provided between an inner wall having a substantially cylindrical shape with a closed bottom and an outer wall having a substantially cylindrical shape with a closed bottom. The fit body is fitted over the inner cylinder in such a manner as to cover a bottom part and a peripheral wall part around beverage storage space of the inner cylinder. The outer cylinder is fitted over the fit body in such a manner as to cover a bottom part and a peripheral wall part of the outer wall of the fit body.
MODIFIED NATURAL MATERIAL AND USE THEREOF
An oil repellent agent including a modified natural product having at least one hydroxyl group, wherein a hydrogen atom of the hydroxyl group is replaced with an R group represented by —Y—Z, wherein Y represents a direct bond, —C(═O)—, —C(═O)—NR′— or —C(═S)—NR′—, where R′ represents a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group); and Z represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 40 carbon atoms and optionally having a substituent or a polysiloxane. The natural material is a natural product other than starch and preferably is a monosaccharide, a polysaccharide, glycerin or polyglycerin. Also disclosed is a textile product to which the oil-resistant agent is attached, an oil-resistant paper and a method of treating paper with the oil-resistant agent.
AMIDE COMPOUND
An oil-resistant agent containing an amide compound including a bio-based material modified with a long-chain hydrocarbon group having 7 to 40 carbon atoms and an amide group. Also disclosed is a fiber product containing the amide compound, and a water dispersion containing the amide compound.
Hybrid pallet
A pallet includes a plastic top deck and a bamboo bottom deck. The bamboo bottom deck includes bamboo boards made from bamboo strips layered together. Support blocks are coupled between the bamboo bottom deck and the plastic top deck, with a gap being formed therebetween for receiving a lifting member.
Fabric
A process for producing a thermoformable and bondable fabric in which the fabric is biodegradable and/or compostable. The process comprises extruding a polymeric blend to form a plurality of filaments, the filaments collectively comprising the fabric.
Earth plant compostable biodegradable substrate and method of producing the same
An earth plant-based compostable biodegradable composition for the formation of a bioplastic and method of producing said resin, the composition comprising: about 17.5 to 45% ethanol-based green polyethylene by weight, about 20 to 25% calcium carbonate by weight, about 2 to 12% hemp hurd or soy protein by weight, about 32 to 45% starch by weight, and about 0.5 to 1% biodegradation additive by weight to enable biodegradation and composting of the bioplastic; wherein the composition is produced by first mill grinding the ethanol-based green polyethylene, calcium carbonate, hemp hurd or soy protein, starch and the biodegradation additive into fine powders, then mechanically mixing the fine powders one by one into a final mixture for about 5-25 minutes at a time, dry and without heat, and then heating the final mixture to about 220 to 430 degrees Fahrenheit.
PACKAGING FILMS WITH ANTI-FOGGING AGENT
Packaging film with a coefficient of static friction >5 comprising: (i) a biodegradable polyester with a melt strength of 0.7-4 g and comprising units of at least one dicarboxylic acid and at least one diol, and (ii) an anti-fogging agent selected from the esters of a polyfunctional alcohol, provided that the ester is not a stearate.
FOOD PACKAGING
A method of manufacturing food packaging comprising a receptacle 100 of a final shape and a coating 600. The method comprises fabricating the receptacle 100 from raw materials, the raw materials comprising a fibrous material and a biopolymer; applying at least one layer of the coating 600 to the receptacle 100, the coating 600 comprising a biopolymer coating; and drying the at least one layer of the coating 600.
BEVERAGE PREPARATION SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES, INCLUDING PORTION HOLDER WITH ENHANCED RETENTION AND OPERATION
The present invention refers to systems and process associated with beverage preparation based upon the extraction of a single portion (1) of a pre-measured quantity of precursor substance in a brewing apparatus (4), whereby said single portion (1) resents a compostable confinement (2) and can be collected inside of a portion holder (3) that is adapted so that can be retained inside a cavity of said brewing apparatus (4). In particular, the present invention relates addresses the problem of ensuring effective and reliable retention of the portion holder (3) on the brewing apparatus (4).
