METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ESTIMATION AND MONITORING OF DISTRIBUTED NETWORK CONDITIONS
A method/system is provided for estimating distribution system conditions in a low-voltage network having local nodes, the local nodes including distributed energy resources. The method includes: acquiring periodic measurements of periodic node voltages and/or branch currents from nodes, the measurements acquired with fixed time intervals; acquiring event-driven measurements of event-driven data based on node voltages and/or branch currents from the energy resources and/or other event-driven data sources, the measurements acquired when a power operating point and/or other measured quantity changes exceed a predefined threshold; in a primary process, executing a distribution system state estimation based on a data set including the periodic measurements; in a secondary process, estimating impacts on the node voltages and/or branch currents in local nodes based on the event-driven measurements; wherein the estimated impacts on node voltages and/or branch currents in local nodes from the secondary process update the data set in the primary process.
Real-time estimation of contributions from classes of energy generators in residual load signals
Various embodiments manage energy generation in a power generation and distribution system. In one embodiment, a set of residual load data is obtained for a given period of time measured at one or more nodes within a power generation and distribution system. The set of residual load data encodes a set of power flow signals. The set of residual load data is analyzed. An amount of power contributed to the set of residual load data by at least one energy generator class is determined based on the analysis of the set of residual load data.

A power management system includes a facility including an adjustment power supply to which feed-in tariff is applied. The power management system includes an equipment management apparatus that manages the adjustment power supply, and a power management server that manages a reverse power flow output from the facility to a power grid. The equipment management apparatus includes a transmitter transmitting, to the power management server, a message including an information element with which an expiration timing of a period to which the feed-in tariff is applied is allowed to be specified.
STORAGE BATTERY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING FLUCTUATION IN FREQUENCY OF AC POWER SYSTEM
A storage battery system includes a first storage battery unit. First storage battery unit includes a first converter that converts alternating current and direct current, a first storage battery, and a first controller that controls first converter, and first storage battery unit is interconnected to a system for supplying power. The first controller detects a frequency of the system, and controls first converter such that first storage battery outputs constant active power to the system on the basis of the frequency of the system falling below a first threshold value.
Data Processing Device and Data Processing Method
The objective of the present invention is to diagnose an abnormality in the amount of electricity generated by a distributed power source while restricting an increase in the number of sensors. A packet generating unit 200 generates electricity generation amount packet data D2a from electricity generation amount data D1 and identification data D6; an electricity generation feature quantity calculating unit 201 calculates electricity generation feature quantity data D3a, D3b indicating a feature quantity of the amount of electricity generated by each distributed power source, from each item of and a result output unit 203 consolidates abnormalities in the amounts of electricity generated by the distributed power sources, indicated by the determination result data D5, as abnormality diagnosis result data D7, and outputs the same to a display unit 206.
Closed loop restoration
A system and method for restoring power in a closed-loop power distribution network. The network includes at least two power sources, at least one feeder and a plurality of switching devices positioned along the at least one feeder and being in communications with each other. The method performs a radial restoration process for restoring power and then determines that at least one of the sections is not receiving power after the radial restoration process has been performed. The method estimates power flow through each switching device and determines an available power capacity from each switching device. The method then determines if the unpowered sections can be powered by any of their neighbor and non-neighbor devices. The method virtually closes the switching devices to power the unpowered sections and updates the estimation of power flow through each switching device and determination of available power capacity from each switching device.
