Absorbent article with channels
A personal care absorbent article is disclosed which employs a combination of void spaces, also referred to as channels, in the crotch region of the article in conjunction with shaping elastic members located outside the lateral side edges of the absorbent core, that, when coupled with strategic alignment of certain components and specifically-located folding lines, will create an article with improved convex or outward curvature of the chassis upon unfolding which provides increased spatial separation of the topsheet or body side liner of the article from the genital area of the wearer. In addition, due to the manipulation of the specific location of such elements in the article, gender specific product designs can be created which are specifically tailored to more appropriately deal with the differences in location of the male and female genitalia.

Length-to-waist silhouettes of adult disposable absorbent articles and arrays
In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise two or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a second absorbent article may be equal to or less than a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a first absorbent article. And the Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a third absorbent article may be equal to or less than a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of a second absorbent article. And, an Array Average Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of first and second packages of the array may be from about 1.1 to about 0.3. In another embodiment, a disposable absorbent article may have a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette from 1.0 to about 0.3.
Absorbent article
An absorbent article has a basic functionality of a skin contact sheet present and configured on the surface of an absorber such that it rises therefrom, in which no positional displacement occurs at a crotch part and which effectively avoids contact between a wearer's skin and urine/feces. The absorbent article has: a leak preventer in sheet form; an absorber arranged above the leak preventer and capable of absorbing a bodily fluid in at least one layer; a skin contact member arranged above the absorber, between a front part of the leak preventer and a rear part of the leak preventer, and that makes contact with a wearer's skin and is spaced apart from the absorber at a time of use; and a connecting unit that couples a part of the skin contact member corresponding to a crotch part of the wearer with the absorber at the time of use.
PRODUCT LINE OF ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A product line of absorbent articles includes a first absorbent article for a male wearer within a first size range. The first absorbent article has an outer cover, a body facing material in opposed relationship with the outer cover, and an absorbent body disposed between the body facing material and the outer cover for absorbing liquid that passes through the body facing material. The body facing material defines a male urine handling feature with a plurality of projections adapted to handle urine released by the male wearer. A second absorbent article for a female wearer is sized within the first size range. The second absorbent article includes an outer cover, a body facing material in opposed relationship with the outer cover, and an absorbent body disposed between the body facing material and the outer cover for absorbing liquid that passes through the body facing material. The body facing material defines a female urine handling feature with a plurality of projections adapted to handle urine released by the female wearer. At least a portion of the projections of the female urine handling feature has a different configuration than the projections of the male handling feature.

Absorbent Articles and Arrays of Absorbent Articles Comprising Different Forms Designed to Aid in Physiological and Psychological Development of Infants, Toddlers, and Children
The present disclosure is directed to disposable absorbent articles and arrays of disposable absorbent articles which are designed to fit a range of wearers having different physiological, psychological and cognitive needs which can be impacted by product form and level of engagement required during application as well as by the final appearance fit and function of the article.
Male hygiene article
A one-piece hygiene article is disclosed for use by a male to absorb moisture in the crotch region, wherein the hygiene article includes an absorbent material. The hygiene article further includes a first absorbing portion, having a V-shape for receiving the genitals of the male. The legs of the V-shape of the first absorbing portion are arranged for being provided along the groin and on either side of the genitals of the male. A second absorbing portion extends from the base of the V-shape of the first absorbing portion and has an elongated shape, wherein the second absorbing portion is arranged for being provided between the buttocks of the male. The hygiene article further includes at least one weakening line for a length adjustment of the hygiene article, and an adhesive material for adhering the hygiene article to the crotch of the male.
GENDER-DIFFERENTIATED ABSORBENT ARTICLES
A method for manufacturing an absorbent article having a body facing liner, a backsheet coupled to the body facing liner, an absorbent body positioned between the body facing liner and the backsheet, and a fluid acquisition layer having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, the fluid acquisition layer being positioned between the body facing liner and the backsheet includes providing a web of body facing liner material in face-to-face relation to a web of fluid acquisition layer material, bonding the body facing liner material to the fluid acquisition layer material using an embossing roller, wherein the embossing roller has an axis and a circumferential surface having a circumferential lane, the circumferential lane having azimuthally-alternating target zone and channel zone embossing patterns, and phasing the embossing roller relative to the web to produce female products and male products.
