Frequency regulation method
A frequency regulation method for a grid which is performed by a control device that connects, through a communication network, a controller for controlling at least one load device and a storage battery. The frequency regulation method including: obtaining, when it is detected that a frequency of a grid deviates from a predetermined range, an instruction signal including a power instruction value for keeping the frequency of the grid within the predetermined range; and generating a control signal for controlling the load device when the load device is operable in accordance with the instruction signal, and transmitting the control signal to the controller, and generating a control signal for charging or discharging the storage battery when the load device is not operable in accordance with the instruction signal, and transmitting the control signal to the storage battery.
System and Method for Intelligent Static Transfer Switch with Smart Home Power Management
Systems and methods for intelligent transfer and management of power maintain a continuous and cost efficient supply of power to electrical loads in a residential or commercial unit when different energy resources such as utility, backup generators, energy storage systems and distributed energy resources (e.g. solar and wind) are available.
ISOLATED DC POWER SUPPLY DEVICE
[Object] To provide an isolated DC power supply device capable of efficiently using ground fault detection for safety protection and communication in a DC power supply network. [Solution] Provided is the isolated DC power supply device that supplies direct current (DC) power via a positive electrode line to which a positive voltage is applied, a negative electrode line to which a negative voltage is applied, and a neutral line to which a signal is applied, the neutral line having an intermediate voltage between the positive electrode line and the negative electrode line as a neutral point, the isolated DC power supply device including: an amplifying unit configured to amplify the DC power; a receiving unit configured to detect an occurrence of a ground leakage current flowing to the positive electrode line or the negative electrode line, compare a voltage of the neutral point with a voltage of the signal of the neutral line and connect the neutral line with a ground point via a coil; and an impedance adjusting circuit configured to be installed between the amplifying unit and the receiving unit and adjust an impedance in a voltage range of the signal applied to the neutral line and in a voltage range other than the signal voltage range in a manner that the impedance is set higher in the signal voltage range than in the other voltage range.
System and method for estimating and providing dispatchable operating reserve energy capacity through use of active load management
A method for generating a value for available operating reserve for electric utility. Electric power consumption by at least one device is determined during at least one period of time to produce power consumption data, stored in a repository. Prior to a control event for power reduction and under an assumption that it is not to occur, power consumption behavior expected of the device(s) is determined for a time period during which the control event is expected to occur based on stored power consumption data. Additionally, prior to the control event, projected energy savings resulting from the control event, and associated with a power supply value (PSV) are determined based on devices' power consumption behavior. Amount of available operating reserve is determined based on projected energy savings.
POWER CONTROL SYSTEM, METHOD, AND POWER CONTROL APPARATUS
In a power control system, a server transmits to each facility data generated by estimating a variation with time in power consumption in each facility and an upper limit value of power capable of being supplied to each facility. A HEMS controller calculates the sum of amounts of electric power consumed over an upper limit value on the basis of estimation data. A power conditioner reserves the power corresponding to the result of calculation in a storage battery in advance. The power conditioner supplies the power corresponding to the power storage capacity reserved in the storage battery to the facility in a case where the power consumption in the facility exceeds the upper limit value such that the upper limit of the power to be supplied from the system to the facility is set to the upper limit value.
