This disclosure provides systems and methods for an adjustable reusable diaper. Some systems include a reusable diaper including a sealing apparatus configured keep fluid sealed within the diaper. The sealing apparatus may include one or more elastic members and one or more gussets where one elastic member is threaded through channels of the one or more gussets. Some systems include a reusable diaper and one or more soaker pads configured to be attachable to the reusable diaper. The soaker pads may be of varying sizes and shapes and can be selectively attached to the reusable diaper to effect different absorption volumes and patterns within the diaper. The soaker pads may be received in one or more pockets of the reusable diaper. Some systems include one or more openings to a pocket to allow a user to more efficiently attach and position one or more soaker pads in a reusable diaper.

A rear edge of the disposable diaper includes a curved projection protruding rearward in the region, and a rear straight portion extending parallel to the width direction from the outer edge of the projection. A pair of first cutout portions is recessed rearward from the outer edge of the front straight portion and recessed inward from the front edge of the outer edge of the disposable diaper. A pair of second cutout portions is recessed frontward from the outer edge of the rear straight portion and recessed inward from the rear edge of the outer edge of the disposable diaper.

A method for producing absorbent sanitary articles, including: advancing in a machine direction a continuous composite tape comprising a first elastic band and a second elastic band, folding said continuous composite tape around a longitudinal axis parallel to the machine direction, cutting second connection zones of the second elastic band with two cuts spaced apart from each other, removing scrap portions of the second elastic band between said cuts, cutting first connection zones of the first elastic band, and folding in opposite directions portions of the first connection zone and overlapping end edges of the first connection zone to corresponding end edges of the second connection zone.

An absorbent article including a side panel having an ultrasonically bonded, gathered laminate is provided. The laminate has an elastomeric layer and a substrate and is joined to the absorbent article chassis at a chassis attachment bond and positioned in one of a first or second waist region. The ultrasonically bonded, gathered laminate also includes an ear structural feature comprising a surface modification to the substrate and comprising at least one of the following: embossing, apertures, perforations, slits, melted material or coatings, compressed material, secondary bonds that are disposed apart from a chassis attachment bond, plastic deformation, and folds.

A pull-on disposable diaper includes a front side portion; a back side portion; a crotch portion; a waist opening; and a pair of leg openings. An edge portion of the waist opening of the front side portion includes a recessed portion that is recessed in the lengthwise direction toward the crotch portion with respect to an edge portion of the waist opening of the back side portion. A tape member is fixed on a non-skin side surface of the back side portion so as to be extendable toward the waist opening in the lengthwise direction, the tape member being used for fixing the diaper in a small state in the lengthwise direction when the diaper is disposed of. The recessed portion is provided at a position corresponding to the tape member in the lateral direction.

A pull-on disposable diaper includes a front side portion; a back side portion; a crotch portion; a waist opening; and a pair of leg openings. The absorbent articles may comprise a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent articles may comprise a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region extending intermediate the first waist region and the second waist region, and an outer cover material joined to the backsheet and forming a portion of a garment-facing surface of the absorbent article. The absorbent articles may comprise a pair of leg cuffs and a fully removable fastening member. The fastening member may comprise a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and positioned proximate to a first end and a second fastener on the first surface and positioned proximate to a second end. The absorbent articles may also comprise a wetness guard.
