An embodiment provides a method for transferring information from at least one instrument to an application, including: establishing a central protocol structure, wherein the central protocol structure defines a format for information transmitted utilizing the central protocol structure; transmitting over a short-range wireless communication channel information from the at least one device to the application, wherein the information is formatted in a broadcast packet in view of the central protocol structure; receiving, at the application, information from the at least one device; and performing, within the application, an action with respect to the information within the application, wherein the performing comprises deciphering the information contained in view of the central protocol structure.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A MODULAR ENERGY SYSTEM USER INTERFACE
A method for controlling a user interface of a modular energy system. The modular energy system comprises a header module and a display screen on which the user interface is displayed. The modular energy system can detect attachment of a first module thereto, control the user interface to display one or more first user interface elements corresponding to the first module, detect attachment of a second module to the modular energy system, control the user interface to resize the one or more first user interface elements to accommodate display of one or more second user interface elements corresponding to the second module, and control the user interface to display the one or more second user interface elements. The various UI elements can correspond to the particular module type that is being connected to the modular energy system.
GLOBAL INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) REALIZATION THROUGH COLLABORATIVE EDGE GATEWAYS
Global Internet of things (IoT) quality of service (QoS) is provided through self-forming, self-healing, and/or collaborative edge IoT gateways. Moreover, global IoT services are provided by logically extending cellular networks with roaming partners to backhaul, track, and/or manage the globally deployed edge IoT gateways. In one aspect, real-time QoS and/or monitoring capabilities for the global IoT services can be provided through a communication between the edge IoT gateways and an edge gateway controller deployed within a cloud. The edge IoT gateways form a structured mesh network to coordinate workload execution under control of the edge gateway controller, which can facilitate a highly efficient QoS and/or SLA management for mobile IoT sensors, to provide a secure monitoring and/or diagnostic capability for the global IoT services.
MOBILE DIGITAL LOCKING TECHNOLOGY
The invention relates to methods and systems where a mobile phone is used to open doors of buildings and vehicles instead of a dedicated physical key. In the invention, the mobile station is configured to provide the operating power to the lock without a power chord. A mobile station app is then configured to communicate with the lock via a short-range wireless communication connection, and open and close the lock. The object of the invention is to provide an electronic software-based key and lock system that is cheaper and easier to use than the physical key.

Various embodiments for managing assets in a data center device rack include: establishing a data connection between a cabinet level controller and at least one primary power distribution unit (PDU); using a first electrical outlet on the primary PDU to establish an electrical connection between the primary PDU an electrical asset in a data center equipment rack; using a first asset interface connector on the cabinet level controller to establish a data connection between the cabinet level controller and the electrical asset in the data center equipment rack, the first electrical outlet and the first asset interface connector being in horizontal alignment; using a router integrated into the cabinet level controller to connect the cabinet level controller to a wide area Internet Protocol (IP) network; and using the router to establish a single IP address corresponding to a plurality of electrical assets in the data center equipment rack.
