Each energy resource is associated with an energy-resource-processor which is configured to issue one or more offer-messages in respect of a quantum of energy available for supply from the energy resource Each energy-consuming-device is associated with at least one energy-consuming-processor) that is configured to receive one or more offer-messages in respect of a transaction for receiving a quantum of energy from one of the energy resources The energy-resource-processor and/or the energy-consuming-processor being configured to issue a cryptographically-secured transaction record of the transaction for inclusion within a publicly-available distributed ledger.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND COMPUTER SYSTEMS FOR ENABLING A PRIVATE UTILITY
Systems, methods, and computer systems for intelligent power supply are provided herein. The system enables a private utility at a building. The system includes a plurality of power sources. Each of the power sources is configured to provide power to the building when enabled. The system also includes at least one external data source, at least one onsite data source, and a computer system. The computer system is communicatively connected to the power sources, the external data source, and the onsite data source. The computer system receives external data from the external data source and building data from the onsite data source. The computer system determines a preferred power source based on the external data and the building data.
CROSS-CERTIFICATE METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING
A cross-certificate method is performed by an electric vehicle (EV) for being supplied with power from electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) associated with a charging point operator (CPO) having established a trust relationship with a first vehicle to grid (V2G) root certificate authority (rootCA) and a second V2G root certificate authority. The cross-certificate method may include steps of: requesting charging from the electric vehicle supply equipment; receiving, from the electric vehicle supply equipment, a certificate chain held by the electric vehicle supply equipment; and verifying whether or not a last certificate of the certificate chain has been signed by the second V2G root certificate authority, wherein the last certificate of the certificate chain can be a cross-certificate issued by the second V2G root certificate authority.
PARKING METER WITH CONTACTLESS PAYMENT
A parking meter is described that comprises components for providing parking meter functionality and a display for displaying parking information and a metal housing for protecting the parking meter components from an environment that has a display aperture through which the display is visible. The parking meter also comprises an antenna for a contactless payment reader arranged in or on the parking meter in close proximity to the display.
SOLAR POWER DISTRIBUTION AND MANAGEMENT FOR HIGH COMPUTATIONAL WORKLOADS
A method includes selectably controlling a power supply from a solar Direct Current (DC) power system and an Alternating Current (AC) power system to a computing system including one or more data processing device(s) using an electronic control system, and continuously updating, through a computing power management system associated with the electronic control system, a power consumption requirement of execution of a high computational workload through the one or more data processing device(s) based on analyzing prior energy usage/production and/or predicted energy usage/production relevant to the execution of the high computational workload. The method also includes optimizing the power supply from the solar DC power system to the one or more data processing device(s) using the computing power management system based on the continuously updated power consumption requirement of the execution of the high computational workload.
RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE BASED POWER DISTRIBUTION AND MANAGEMENT FOR CRYPTOCURRENCY MINING
A method includes selectably controlling a power supply from a renewable energy source based power system and an AC power system and/or a DC power system to a cryptocurrency system including a number of mining servers using an electronic control system, and continuously updating, through a mining node power management system associated with the electronic control system, a power requirement of mining a specific type of cryptocurrency through the cryptocurrency system based on analyzing statistically predicted patterns of energy usage and production relevant to the mining of the specific type of cryptocurrency in accordance with utilizing a predicted energy consumption pattern provided through the mining node power management system. The method also includes optimizing the power supply from the renewable energy source based power system to the number of mining servers using the mining node power management system based on the continuously updated power requirement of the mining.
System, method, and apparatus for settlement for participation in an electric power grid
Systems, methods, and apparatus embodiments for electric power grid and network registration and management of physical and financial settlement for participation of active grid elements in supply and/or curtailment of power, wherein Internet Protocol (IP)-based messages including IP packets are generated by transforming raw data content into settlement grade content. Settlement is provided for grid elements that participate in the electric power grid following initial registration of each grid element with the system, preferably through network-based communication between the grid elements and a coordinator, either in coordination with or outside of an IP-based communications network router. Messaging related to settlement is managed through a network by a coordinator using IP messaging for communication with the grid elements, with the energy management system (EMS), and with the utilities, market participants, and/or grid operators.
Systems and Methods for Generating and Consuming Power from Natural Gas
Systems and methods are provided to mitigate flaring of natural gas. A natural gas processing system may process raw natural gas into a fuel gas stream that may be used to power any number of on-site power generation modules. In turn, the power generation modules may convert the fuel gas stream into an electrical output, which may be employed to power any number of distributed computing units housed within one or more mobile data centers. In certain embodiments, the distributed computing units may be adapted to mine cryptocurrency or perform other distributed computing tasks to generate revenue.
