Managing grid interaction with interconnect socket adapter configured for a wind power source
A system for managing grid interaction with a wind power source includes an energy exchange server, a plurality of wind energy sources, a plurality of interconnect socket adapters, and a plurality of energy exchange controllers, each energy exchange controller coupling to one of the plurality of interconnect socket adapters and dictating energy consumption based on energy pricing data received from the energy exchange server. Each interconnect socket adapter electrically couples to the power grid, one or more energy sinks, and a wind energy source, and the energy exchange server receives a real-time energy consumption data set, a real-time energy production data set, a set of environmental parameters and a starting energy price, and generates a current aggregate electricity demand value as a function of the real-time energy consumption data set and the environmental parameters, a current aggregate electricity supply value as a function of the real-time energy production dataset and the environmental parameters, and a current energy price as a function of the starting energy price, the current aggregate electricity demand value, and the current aggregate electricity supply value.
Managing power consumption through an interconnect socket adapter
Interconnection meter socket adapters are provided. An interconnection meter socket adapter comprises a housing enclosing a set of electrical connections. The interconnection meter socket adapter may be configured to be coupled to a standard distribution panel and a standard electric meter, thereby establishing connections between a distribution panel and a user such that electrical power may be delivered to the user while an electrical meter measures the power consumption of the user. A power regulation module is disposed between the interconnection meter socket adapter, and configured to selectively connect one or more energy sources or energy sinks.
POWER SYSTEM AGGREGATION DEVICE AND METHOD, AND POWER SYSTEM STABILIZATION DEVICE
When increasing the efficiency of an aggregation group which is a part of a power system aggregation process, the aggregation group is not optimum and a created aggregation model does not satisfy both low volume of calculations and high analysis accuracy. In order to solve this problem, a power system aggregation device includes: a fitness evaluation function library in which two or more aggregation fitness evaluation functions are stored; and a processing unit which obtains an aggregation fitness from a detailed system model using the aggregation fitness evaluation functions, creates an aggregation group from the aggregation fitness, and creates an aggregation system model from the aggregation group. The processing unit calculates the aggregation fitness of two or more power system model constituent elements using two or more fitness evaluation functions, and creates the aggregation group on the basis of the aggregation fitness of the power system model constituent elements.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MATCHING RESOURCE CAPACITY WITH CLIENT RESOURCE NEEDS
Resources are required to satisfy various needs and wants of people, businesses, and machines. Resources come in the forms of time, talents, money, materials, energy, services, people, knowledge, communication, and other tangible and intangible assets. When both the capacities and the needs of multiple resources are stored in a way that allows for them to be connected together using computers, they can be efficiently and effectively matched. This matching creates shared value, which has potential academic, economic, societal and philanthropic benefits. Connected computer system(s) can query and match resources together in a way that is mutually beneficial. While a common lexicon is the simplest way to perform the matching, natural language processing, machine translation, or use of similar technologies may be optimal. Any method of collecting these inputs should be able to handle one or multiple capacities, and one or multiple needs.
AGGREGATION SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND CONTROL APPARATUS
In an aggregation system comprising a control apparatus which is provided for each consumer and a server apparatus, the server apparatus calculates, for each of the consumers and as an allocation amount of the consumer, an upper limit value for the power which the consumer inputs from the system or a lower limit value for the power which the consumer is to output to the system, according to a requested power provision amount, and sends the respective control instructions designating the calculated allocation amount of each consumer to the control apparatus of the consumer, and the control apparatuses each control the charging and discharging of the corresponding power apparatus so that the power input from the system is equal to or smaller than the allocation amount designated in the control instruction or so that power equal to or larger than the allocation amount is output to the system.
DEMAND PREDICTION SYSTEM AND DEMAND PREDICTION METHOD
To improve a prediction accuracy of future demand. A demand prediction system includes a storage device and a processor which is connected to the storage device. The processor is configured to associate time-sequential load data of a resource demand of a plurality of consumers in a consumer set to a plurality of groups, and the storage device is configured to acquire demand pattern data indicating a shape representing the load data in each group and the number of consumers belonging to each group, and calculate shape data indicating a shape of the time-sequential load data of the demand of the consumer set in a predetermined prediction target period on the basis of a record value of the demand pattern data of each group and a record value of the number of consumers of each group.
Methods and apparatus for managing renewable energy services
Methods and apparatus for managing at least one renewable energy source for supply of power via an electric grid are disclosed. A method supplies power to mobile devices from the renewable energy source and balances power realized by the mobile devices with the supply of power from the renewable energy source by controlling the supply of power realized by the mobile devices. An apparatus includes a processor for monitoring power from the renewable energy source and sending signals to mobile devices connected to the electric grid to balance monitored power from the renewable energy source with power realized by the mobile devices. Another method identifies a fixed account associated with a grid connection point used by a plug-in electric vehicle for realizing power during a connection event; determines a quantity of energy realized during the event; and adjusts the account based on energy realized by the vehicle during the event.
Power aggregation system for distributed electric resources
Systems and methods are described for a power aggregation system. In one implementation, a method includes establishing a communication connection with each of multiple electric resources connected to a power grid, receiving an energy generation signal from a power grid operator, and controlling a number of the electric resources being charged by the power grid as a function of the energy generation signal.
Virtual power plant system and method incorporating renewal energy, storage and scalable value-based optimization
Methods and systems provided for creating a scalable building block for a virtual power plant, where individual buildings can incorporate on-site renewable energy assets and energy storage and optimize the acquisition, storage and consumption of energy in accordance with a value hierarchy. Each building block can be aggregated into a virtual power plant, in which centralized control of load shifting in selected buildings, based on predictive factors or price signals, can provide bulk power for ancillary services or peak demand situations. Aggregation can occur at multiple levels, including developments consisting of both individual and common renewable energy and storage assets. The methods used to optimize the system can also be applied to right size the amount of renewable energy and storage capacity at each site to maximize return on the capital investment.
