Absorbent articles comprising semi-hydrophilic compositions
An absorbent article having a topsheet with natural fibers and a semi-hydrophilic composition is provided. The semi-hydrophilic composition may have a wax ester and a polyglyceryl emulsifier in a ratio of between about 0.5:1 and 1.5:1. The topsheet may have a Contact Angle of between about 35 and about 100. The topsheet may have a Fluid Strike-Through time of between about 0.5 seconds to about 18 seconds and a wicking height of between about 0 mm and about 10 mm.
Absorbent article with three-dimensional hot-melt bonded laminate
An absorbent article such as a baby diaper comprising a three-dimensional laminate 30 having a first layer 1 intermittently bonded to a second layer 2 by a heterophase polymer. The topsheet comprises three-dimensional protrusions 9 in the first layer 1 which are not bonded to the second layer 2. The heterophase polymer has an enthalpy of fusion of at least 10 J/g. The laminate may be used on the wearer-facing side of the article as topsheet 24 and/or on the garment-facing side as part of the backsheet 26. The first layer may comprise natural fibers.
Nonwoven fabrics and absorbent articles having shaped, soft and textured nonwoven fabrics
Shaped, soft, and textured nonwoven fabrics are provided. Absorbent articles that comprise shaped, soft and textured nonwoven fabrics are provided. The nonwoven fabrics may be a topsheet and an outer cover nonwoven material of the absorbent article. A portion of a wearer-facing surface of the topsheet may have a TS7 in the range of about 1 dB V.sup.2 rms of about 1 to about 4.5 dB V.sup.2 rms and a TS750 in the range of about 6 dB V.sup.2 rms to about 30 dB V.sup.2 rms. A portion of a garment-facing surface of the outer cover nonwoven material may have a TS7 in the range of about 1 dB V.sup.2 rms of about 1 to about 4.5 dB V.sup.2 rms and a TS750 in the range of about 6 dB V.sup.2 rms to about 30 dB V.sup.2 rms. The nonwoven fabrics of the present disclosure provide soft materials with texture.
Absorbent article and components thereof having improved softness signals, and methods for manufacturing
An absorbent article having improved softness signals is disclosed. The article may include a topsheet or a backsheet including a nonwoven web. The web may have a basis weight of 30 gsm or less, may be formed of spunlaid fibers including polyolefin and up to 5 percent by weight TiO.sub.2, and may be impressed with a pattern of bond impressions to a bond area percentage of at least 10 percent forming a pattern of bonded regions and raised regions. The web may have opacity of 42 or greater; have an average height difference between bonded regions and raised regions of at least 280 m; be hydroengorged; and/or have a cross-direction tensile strength of 350 gf/cm. A nonwoven web manufactured to have a suitable combination of such features exhibits an enhanced appearance of softness, soft tactile feel and satisfactory mechanical attributes, while being relatively cost effective.

The nonwoven fabrics of the present disclosure provide soft materials with texture.
BARRIER FABRICS WITH DESIRABLE AIR PERMEABILITY
A barrier fabric suitable as a backsheet for an underpad configured for a low air loss bed, in which the barrier fabric comprises a first nonwoven fabric including outermost spunbond layers and two or more fine-fiber containing nonwoven layers. Each of the nonwoven layers being treated with a non-fluorinated barrier coating (NFBC).
