Crimped Fiber Spunbond Nonwoven Webs/Laminate
A disposable absorbent article having a crimped fiber spunbond nonwoven web is described herein. The disposable absorbent article has a topsheet, a backsheet attached to the topsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The crimped fiber spunbond nonwoven web is either at least a portion of the topsheet or the backsheet or at least a portion of the topsheet and the backsheet. The crimped fiber spunbond nonwoven web includes a plurality of apertures extending therethrough.
Fabric, protective garments made therefrom, and methods of making
Disclosed herein are protective garments comprising an inner surface or portion of an inner surface with both absorbent and stain resistant properties while maintaining the soft feel, breathability and aesthetic properties associated with traditional non protective intimate apparel. The fabrics and methods of constructing the garments are also disclosed herein.
Webs With Compositions Thereon
A web having a first surface and a second surface, a plurality of apertures extending through the web from the first surface to the second surface, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of apertures are treated with a composition and at least a portion of the apertures are untreated is disclosed. The treated apertures form a plurality of treated aperture zones, and the untreated apertures form a plurality of untreated aperture zones. Each of the plurality of treated aperture zones has one or more apertures, and each of the plurality of untreated aperture zones has one or more apertures. The plurality of treated aperture zones includes between about 25 percent to about 75 percent of the plurality of apertures.
CRIMPED FIBER SPUNBOND NONWOVEN WEBS / LAMINATES
Nonwoven webs/nonwoven laminates for use in absorbent articles are disclosed. The nonwoven webs/nonwoven laminates are useful in leg cuffs of absorbent articles.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
In order to absorb a small amount of liquid, to prevent an absorbent article from being disintegrated by the absorbed liquid, and to prevent piping of a toilet from being clogged even if the absorbent article is flushed into a flush toilet, the absorbent article includes a pulp layer containing a crushed pulp or fibers mainly containing a crushed pulp, and the pulp layer has a water repellent surface layer portion formed by applying a water repellent agent to at least one surface layer portion.
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING SURFACE MODIFIED TOPSHEET
Disposable absorbent articles suitable for absorbing and containing body exudates are disclosed. These articles include an apertured nonwoven topsheet having a body surface and an opposing garment surface; a backsheet; an absorbent core; and a surface modifying composition disposed on the topsheet. The composition includes hydrophobic particles and a hydrophobic binder.
The body surface exhibits a static water contact angle of 120 to 160 degrees and a contact angle hysteresis of from about 10 to 30 degrees.
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING SURFACE MODIFIED TOPSHEET
Disposable absorbent articles suitable for absorbing and containing body exudates are disclosed herein. These articles include an apertured nonwoven topsheet having a body surface and an opposing garment surface; a backsheet; an absorbent core; and a surface modifying composition disposed on the topsheet, wherein the composition comprises hydrophobic particles and a hydrophobic binder in a ratio of binder to particles of 4:1 to 1:4 and wherein, post insult, the article has a Topsheet Stain Area of less than 30 mm.sup.2.
SENSOR FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent structure, including a sensor system, can sense and measure the level of wetness contained within the absorbent structure as well as sense and measure environmental conditions. The sensor system may include passive RFID sensors or tags, RFID readers, antenna, a tuning module, a processing module, a memory module and a wireless communication module. The absorbent structure may further include two or more sensors, with a first sensor placed in a first area most likely to first be exposed to liquid and a second sensor spaced apart from the first sensor in an area likely to be exposed to liquid only after the absorbent structure has become more saturated.
SURFACE SHEET FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE USING SAME
A surface sheet for absorbent articles includes: a nonwoven fabric made of a short fiber; and a hydrophobic granular gel composition attached to the short fiber, and has a dispersion region in a skin-facing-side surface of the surface sheet, in which the granular gel composition is present in a dispersed state, and in the dispersion region, a dispersion state coefficient representing the dispersion state of the granular gel composition is 900-5000.
