An absorbent article comprises a nonwoven topsheet. The nonwoven topsheet comprises a visually discernible pattern of three-dimensional features on a surface of the topsheet. The three-dimensional features comprise one or more first regions and a plurality of second regions. The one or more first regions have a first value of an average intensive property. The plurality of second regions have a second value of the average intensive property. The first value is greater than the second value and both values are greater than zero. The first regions are continuous and the second regions are discrete. A patterned surfactant is positioned on a garment-facing surface of the nonwoven topsheet. The patterned surfactant comprises a plurality of discrete, spaced apart elements. The discrete elements have an area between about 0.75 mm.sup.2 and 30 mm.sup.2.

A adult incontinence garment assembly for assisting with incontinence and inhibiting bedsores includes a diaper that can be worn on a user thereby facilitating the diaper cover the user's crotch. A pad is integrated into the diaper to absorb bodily fluids from the user when the diaper is worn. A plurality of cushions is each integrated into the diaper and each of the cushions is strategically positioned on the diaper. In this way each of the cushions can be aligned with the user's hips and the user's tailbone when the diaper is worn. Additionally, each of the cushions is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to inhibit the user from developing bedsores while wearing the diaper.

In an absorbent article for incontinence using cotton fiber for a front-surface sheet, a diffusing range of liquid in the front-surface sheet is made to be a predetermined range or less, thereby eliminating a sticky feeling of the surface, and reducing water retention of the front-surface sheet so as to cause urine to diffuse in the front-surface sheet rapidly.

An absorbent sheet for pets includes: a top sheet disposed on a top side of the absorbent sheet; a back sheet disposed on a back side of the absorbent sheet; and an absorbent body disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet, the absorbent body including: top recessed portions, each recessed toward the back side from the top side and comprising a top bottom portion; and back recessed portions, each recessed toward the top side from the back side and comprising a back bottom portion. At least some of the top bottom portions are located either: at the same position as some of the back bottom portions in a thickness direction, or closer to the back side than the back bottom portions in the thickness direction.

An absorbent article including a liquid permeable topsheet on a wearer-facing side of the absorbent article and a garment-facing laminate on a garment-facing side of the absorbent article is disclosed. The garment-facing laminate includes a backsheet film and a nonwoven layer joined to the backsheet film. The nonwoven layer defines a plurality of apertures. At least 3 of the plurality of apertures in a repeat unit have a different Effective Aperture Area, according to the Aperture Test herein, a different shape, and a different Absolute Feret Angle, according to the Aperture Test herein. The absorbent article includes an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate the liquid permeable topsheet and the garment-facing laminate.

An absorbent article, where on a skin side of a laminated part of a side sheet 7 and a liquid permeable front-surface sheet 3, a side emboss that sinks in toward a non-skin side and is made by fusing the side sheet 7 and the liquid permeable front-surface sheet 3 is formed. The side emboss 10 is comprised of a plurality of large embosses 11, where 11 is formed to have a relatively larger area that are arranged to align linearly along the longitudinal direction of a sanitary napkin 1 with equal intervals, and between the adjacent large embosses 11, 11, a plurality of small embosses 12, 12 . . . are formed to have a relatively small area that are arranged in a wave-like shape along the longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin 1 with intervals, separated from the large embosses 11. A side sheet and a front-surface sheet are strongly joined to prevent detachment, and to improve the feel against the skin by fitting flexibly to a body.

An absorbent article comprises a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article comprises a nonwoven web. The nonwoven web having a first side and a second side. The nonwoven web comprises thermoplastic fibers and cellulosic fibers. At least a portion of the thermoplastic fibers are present on the first side and at least a portion of the cellulosic fibers are present on the second side. The nonwoven web has a pattern of discrete bond points, wherein the pattern of discrete bond points has a fiber free-length parameter, as defined by the Fiber Free-Length Test, with a value of less than 2.90 mm The second side of the nonwoven web forms part of an exterior surface of the absorbent article.

A package of personal care articles. Each of the personal care articles has a nonwoven substrate as a component. The nonwoven substrate can have a first surface defining a plane of the first surface and a non-regular pattern of a plurality of three-dimensional features extending outwardly from the plane of the first surface. The non-regular pattern can include a first zone of first three-dimensional features and a second zone of second three-dimensional features, wherein in at least one of the first or second zones of the plurality of three-dimensional features has a first three-dimensional feature having a first intensive property and a second three-dimensional feature having a second, different intensive property. The personal care articles can be compressed in the package.

A first plurality of the three-dimensional features have different Z-direction maximum dimensions relative to the first surface. A second plurality of the three-dimensional features have substantially the same Z-direction maximum dimensions relative to the first surface. Each of the three-dimensional features define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions have a difference in values for an intensive property.
