Disposable baby hygiene products, particularly disposable baby hygiene products made with natural, sustainable, environmentally-responsible, and/or biodegradable materials include disposable baby diapers made with bamboo and other natural, sustainable, environmentally-responsible, and/or biodegradable materials and disposable baby swim diapers made with natural, sustainable, environmentally-responsible, and/or biodegradable materials.
Feminine hygiene pad with nonwoven topsheet having enhanced skin feel
A feminine hygiene pad having a topsheet including a fibrous nonwoven web material having hydrophilic fibers, and an absorbent layer including an open-celled foam formed through polymerization of a high internal phase emulsion (HIPE) is disclosed. The topsheet and the absorbent layer are disposed in direct face-to-face relationship with each other, and attached to each other within a bonding region. Within the bonding region, each first identifiable point of attachment between the topsheet and the absorbent layer has a neighboring second identifiable point of attachment between the topsheet and the absorbent layer within a 6 mm radius of the first identifiable point of attachment.
ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article comprising: a reusable and washable outer shell comprising one or more front panels and a back panel; and a disposable absorbent insert removably joined to the front and back panels, wherein said insert is interposed between said front panel and said back panel, wherein the front and back panels have a total width W being greater than a width w of said insert along a transverse axis x-x, and wherein said insert comprises a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent material sandwiched between said topsheet and backsheet, wherein the back panel comprises an elastic woven or nonwoven layer and the front and/or back panels comprise one or more fasteners arranged to provide a refastenable closure between said front, back panels and/or garment facing surface of the insert and wherein the insert is joined to the front and back panels at discrete joining areas, wherein said discrete joining areas are less than 20%, of the total surface area of said insert taken from a plane parallel to that formed by the longitudinal axis y-y and transverse axis x-x, and wherein the discrete joining areas have a shape selected from the group consisting of line-form, cross-form, X-shaped, Y-shaped, H-shaped, and T-shaped, square-shaped and combinations thereof, and wherein said insert is biodegradable and/or compostable.
Absorbent article having a waist gasketing element
The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles having a waist gasketing element, with the gasketing element having an adhesive zone and one or more adhesive-free zones. At least a portion of the waist gasketing element is adhesively attached to a chassis of the absorbent article. Additionally, a portion of the waist gasketing element is mechanically attached to a portion of the absorbent article. The bio-based content of the absorbent article is from about 5% to about 100% using ASTM D6866-10, method B.
Absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids
An absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids, the article including a liquid absorbent top layer and a backing layer, the top layer and the backing layer being made from roll materials and being joined together. The top layer is constituted by a cellulosic fibrous web, the fibres in the cellulosic fibrous web being constituted by a mixture of cellulose fibres, the mixture including regenerated cellulose fibres or natural cellulose staple fibres and cellulose pulp fibres, the cellulosic fibrous web being a foam-formed, hydroentangled cellulosic fibrous web.
INCONTINENCE AND MENSTRUAL APPAREL
Disclosed are apparel designed for use during menstrual cycle, incontinence or when involuntary discharge of bodily fluids is expected. Various styles of absorbent undergarments with various layering and structures therein are disclosed. In one embodiment, the disclosed absorbent undergarments include one or more absorbent liners. The absorbent liners can have one or more hydrophilic layers and one or more breathable, waterproof layers in the crotch region of the undergarments.
Absorbent article with function-formed topsheet, and method for manufacturing
An absorbent article is disclosed. The article includes a topsheet formed of a section of formed nonwoven web material having an ordered arrangement of zones, each zone comprising one or more attenuated regions adjacent to one or more built-up regions, wherein the attenuated regions have a first average basis weight and the built-up regions have a second average basis weight, wherein the first average basis weight is less than the second average basis weight, the difference in basis weights corresponding to disposition of the filaments according to the ordered arrangement. The attenuated region(s) may include a plurality of discrete low bulk portions arranged in a pattern disposed along a longitudinal axis of the article, which facilitate z-direction movement of fluid through the topsheet and inhibit spreading of a fluid stain along the topsheet in the x and y directions.
System of pantiliners and menstrual pads
A system of pantiliners and menstrual pads that can be used to alleviate undesirable conditions associated with dysmenorrhea or other physiological conditions is provided.
