INCONTINENCE DETECTION PAD VALIDATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
An incontinence detection pad has an RFID tag in which an authentication code, such as an electronic product code (EPC), is stored. A reader in wireless communication with the RFID tag of the incontinence detection pad verifies that the incontinence detection pad is an authorized detection pad. Thus, unauthorized incontinence detection pads that do not have the proper authentication code are not able to be used in an incontinence detection system.
DISPOSABLE HYGIENIC ARTICLE WITH MEANS FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING
A disposable, wearable article can be used for collecting a sample and performing urinalysis. The article incorporates a test port feature to simplify this function. The test port has a resealable cover that can be used to selectively expose an aperture through the backsheet of the disposable article. The test port is used to position test devices, such as urine test strips to urine collected in the disposable article.
ARTICLE COMPRISING EMBEDDED CODE
An absorbent article comprises a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; and a component comprising a base design, wherein the base design comprises one or more design elements and a camouflaged code.
PANTS-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A pants-type absorbent article for which damage during wearing motions can be suppressed. The pants-type absorbent article includes: a front waist region; a rear waist region; a crotch region; a waist opening defined by the front waist region and the rear waist region and disposed to surround a waist of the wearer; an external topsheet provided on at least one of the front waist region and the rear waist region; and an external backsheet bonded to the external topsheet. The external backsheet has a folded-back portion folded back at the waist opening, the folded-back portion extending beyond the external topsheet toward to the waist opening. A reinforcing sheet extends in a transverse direction orthogonally crossing the front-back direction and to overlap at least part of the folded-back portion. The reinforcing sheet has a length in the front-back direction longer than a length of the folded-back portion in the front-back direction.
Absorbent article comprising a wetness detector
An absorbent article has a back sheet with an absorbent core disposed on a body side of the back sheet. On a back side of the back sheet, there is provided a substrate carrying a conductive pattern as a liquid discharge detection circuit that is able to be connected to an electric potential generator for performing liquid discharge detection. At least one or a plurality of holes is formed through the back sheet to communicate portions of the conductive pattern with the absorbent core. Longitudinally adjacent pairs of the revealed portions of the conductive pattern form liquid discharge detection zones for detecting liquid discharge in the absorbent core. The detection zones are longitudinally distributed with respect to the absorbent core.
MULTILAYER WRAPPER FILM FOR HYGIENE PRODUCT
A multilayer wrapper film for a hygiene product has a first outer layer, a second outer layer, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer between the first outer layer and the second outer layer and forming therewith respective adhesive bonds. The adhesive bond between the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the first outer layer is stronger than the adhesive bond between the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the second outer layer. An overall thickness of the first and second outer layers with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer arranged therebetween is between 20 m and 80 m.
Disposable diaper having reduced absorbent core to backsheet gluing
The present disclosure generally relates to disposable diapers having absorbent cores comprising superabsorbent polymer particles which are immobilized by adhesive. The absorbent cores are attached to the backsheets of the disposable diapers in certain attachment zones to reduce see-through and the formation of tension lines on the backsheets.
Diapers having a zoned non-attachable back sheet and methods of manufacturing same
According to one embodiment, an absorbent article to be worn about a wearer has a front portion and a back portion. The absorbent article includes an outer layer, an inner layer that is substantially co-extensive with the outer layer, an absorbent layer and one or more fasteners, which are located on the back portion of the absorbent article. The absorbent layer is interposed between the outer layer and the inner layer to form the absorbent article. The outer layer has a central portion between two side portions. The central portion of the outer layer is treated with a chemical to substantially inhibit attachment of the one or more fasteners to the central portion of the outer layer. The one or more fasteners secure the back portion to the outer layer of the front portion. Specifically, the one or more fasteners are configured to secure the back portion to a region of the outer layer which is not treated with the chemical.

WOUND DRESSING
A negative pressure wound dressing comprising a backing layer, an adhesive skin contact layer and an absorbent structure arranged between the backing layer and the adhesive skin contact layer, wherein the adhesive skin contact layer is configured to detachably adhere the dressing to a dermal surface, wherein the backing layer comprises a coupling member configured to connect the dressing to a negative pressure source, wherein the absorbent structure comprises a wound contact layer arranged to contact the wound when the adhesive skin contact layer is adhered to the skin adjacent the wound, and the wound contact layer may have a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface of the wound contact layer may contact the wound in use, wherein the first surface may comprise warp stitches, and the second surface may comprise warp and weft stitches.
