ABSORBENT ARTICLE MADE OF TOW FIBERS AND SAP ADDING OPEN FORMATION HIGH LOFT LAYER WITH FIBERS ORIENTED IN Z DIRECTION TO IMPROVE SAP STABILITY
An absorbent article, including a liquid permeable top sheet, a pulpless absorbent core, the core including synthetic fibers and a super absorbent material, the super absorbent material being settled and stabilized by an open formation bottom high loft layer with fibers oriented in a Z direction, and a liquid impermeable backsheet, wherein the absorbent core is positioned between the top sheet and the backsheet.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH IMPROVED CORE
An absorbent article including a wearer-facing topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, characterized in that the absorbent core includes: a first absorbent layer comprising a first substrate, a layer of first superabsorbent polymer particles deposited on the first substrate, and a fibrous layer of thermoplastic adhesive material covering the layer of first superabsorbent polymer particles; a second absorbent layer, the second absorbent layer comprising a second substrate and a mixed layer deposited on the second substrate, the mixed layer comprising a mixture of second superabsorbent particles and cellulosic fibers, the first absorbent layer and the second absorbent layer being combined together such that at least a portion of the fibrous layer of thermoplastic adhesive material of the first absorbent layer contacts at least a portion of the mixed layer of the second absorbent layer, and wherein the first absorbent layer is placed closer to the topsheet than the second layer.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING CURVED CHANNELS
An absorbent article, such as a diaper or a training pant, having a wearer-facing side and a garment-facing side and a longitudinal axis, includes an absorbent core with at least two longitudinally extending curved channels and an air-through bonded carded nonwoven layer as topsheet or acquisition layer under the topsheet.
Debriding wound dressing, process of manufacture and useful articles thereof
A wound dressing for active continuous debridement of devitalized tissues in non-healing wounds including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, burn injuries and other etiologies, includes an active ingredient, such as collagenase, which serves to debride wounds in-situ. In one example, purified Collagenase (90% pure) was deposited onto several wound dressing materials. A key feature of this invention is that the activity level of the Collagenase used was substantially preserved.
MULTI-LAYERED ABSORBENT CORES AND ABSORBENT ARTICLES
Disclosed herein are multilayer absorbent cores, as well as personal care absorbent articles comprising the multilayer absorbent cores. The multilayer absorbent cores can comprise three or more layers including an intake layer and an absorbent layer. By employing a multilayer structure that includes a relatively low basis weight intake layer and a relatively high basis weight absorbent layer (and thus with a relatively large difference between the basis weight of the intake layer and the basis weight of the absorbent layer), fluid contacting the multilayer absorbent core can be rapidly directed through the intake layer to the absorbent layer. Consequently, articles incorporating these multilayer absorbent cores can exhibit improved intake properties, improved rewet performance, improved saturation and retention capacity, and/or improved desorption.
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article that can be a sanitary napkin. The absorbent article comprises a topsheet joined to a backsheet and has an absorbent core material disposed therebetween, the absorbent core material being a fibrous absorbent material exhibiting on one side thereof discrete raised portions. The raised portions define a continuous network of channels, the channels defining a void region adjacent the topsheet of the sanitary napkin.
Absorbent articles with improved core
An absorbent article comprising a wearer-facing topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, characterized in that the absorbent core comprises: a first absorbent layer comprising a first substrate, a layer of first superabsorbent polymer particles deposited on the first substrate, and a fibrous layer of thermoplastic adhesive material covering the layer of first superabsorbent polymer particles; a second absorbent layer, the second absorbent layer comprising a second substrate and a mixed layer deposited on the second substrate, the mixed layer comprising a mixture of second superabsorbent particles and cellulosic fibers, the first absorbent layer and the second absorbent layer being combined together such that at least a portion of the fibrous layer of thermoplastic adhesive material of the first absorbent layer contacts at least a portion of the mixed layer of the second absorbent layer, and wherein the first absorbent layer is placed closer to the topsheet than the second layer.
Absorbent article with high absorbent material content
An absorbent article includes a longitudinal axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the article, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. The absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer. The article further includes an acquisition-distribution layer; and at least one channel positioned within a layer located between the topsheet and the backsheet, the at least one channel being substantially free of fibers and superabsorbent polymer. An indentation occurs in at least one of the topsheet and the backsheet that correspond to the at least one channels when the article is loaded with fluid.
Ultra-thin absorbent article
The present invention generally relates to sanitary absorbent articles and in particular to disposable feminine sanitary absorbent articles that are extremely thin, highly absorbent and have superior structural integrity properties.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING NONWOVEN LATERAL ZONES
An absorbent article for collecting bodily fluid having a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent structure. The article may include a central fluid acquisition zone, a first lateral zone situated on one side of the central zone and a second lateral zone situated on the opposite side of the central zone, wherein the first and second lateral zones are formed by a nonwoven material.
