Absorbent article and method of manufacturing same
An absorbent article has an absorbent body obtained by mixing and accumulating fibers and high absorbent polymer particles. A wrapping sheet includes an intermediate part located on a front face side of the absorbent body and both side parts folded back to a back face side of the absorbent body from the intermediate part. Distal ends of the both side parts of the wrapping sheet are overlapped on the back face side of the absorbent body to form a connecting portion. A total weight of the high absorbent polymer particles is larger than a total weight of the fibers in the absorbent body. A content rate of the high absorbent polymer particles of the absorbent body increases stepwise or continuously from the back face side toward the front face side.
ABSORBENT BODY, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE
To make gel blocking less likely to occur, to enable and improve liquid absorption speed and absorption capability and to enable reversion to be prevented, without impairing the feeling when worn. An absorbent body is provided with a water-absorbent fiber stack including pulp fibers and a highly water-absorbent polymer, and a cover sheet covering at least a skin-facing surface of the water-absorbent fiber stack. Multiple protruding portions which protrude outward, and recessed portions that are recessed and are adjacent to the protruding portions are formed on the non-skin facing surface of the cover sheet, and the water-absorbent fiber stacks are stacked in the recessed portions.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING CHANNEL-FORMING AREAS AND WETNESS INDICATOR
An absorbent article comprising an absorbent core having a longitudinally extending channel-forming area and a wetness indicator. The core wrap comprises a top side and a bottom side, which are attached to each other through areas substantially free of absorbent material, so that when the absorbent material swells upon absorption of a liquid a channel is formed along the area substantially free of absorbent material.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH CHANNELS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
An absorbent core comprising an absorbent material between a top core wrap sheet and a back core wrap sheet, said absorbent core having a first and second longitudinal edge and a first and second transverse edge, wherein the absorbent core is provided with at least a first elongated channel, said first channel zone has a first width (w1) at a first position and a second width (w2) at a second position, wherein the first width is larger than the second width.
Fluid-absorbent article
A fluid-absorbent article having an upper liquid-pervious layer, a lower liquid-impervious layer, a fluid-absorbent core between the layer and the layer, containing from 0 to 20% by weight fibrous material and from 80 to 100% by weight of a water-absorbent polymer material, based on the sum of water-absorbent polymer material and fibrous material. The fluid absorbent article has a first intake time of 15 seconds or less by the hanging U-shape test (HUS).
Absorbent article
An absorbent article has an absorbent body with a colored fiber layer colored in a different color from a color of any member other than the absorbent body across a whole in a front-back direction and a width direction thereof. The colored fiber layer is visually recognizable from an outside.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING AN ABSORBENT PAD
An apparatus for forming an absorbent pad for an absorbent sanitary article including a first layer, a second layer and an absorbent material interposed between the first and the second layer, includes: a forming drum; a first feed system for feeding to the forming drum a first web, intended to form the first layer; and a second feed system for feeding to the forming drum a second web, intended to form the second layer; at least one spreader for spreading the absorbent material on the forming drum; the first web, the second web and the absorbent material together form a composite web and the forming apparatus includes a system for joining the first and second webs and a system for calibrating the thickness of the absorbent material in the composite web and being located upstream of the joining system in a feed direction V of the composite web.
Machine and method for making absorbent sanitary articles
A machine for making absorbent sanitary articles including an absorbent pad with at least one discrete layer of superabsorbent polymer material includes a unit for forming and applying a succession of absorbent pads, which includes a drum for forming the pad, a duct for feeding a charge of superabsorbent polymer material to the drum and intermittent valve mounted along a stretch of the duct and driven by an actuator. A device detects the superabsorbent polymer material and sends a signal to a control and drive unit connected to the device indicating that the superabsorbent polymer material has been detected. The control and drive unit is configured to drive the actuator to bring the valve into phase with the rotation of the drum when the deviation of the signal from a reference signal exceeds a defined threshold value.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING ABSORBENT LAMINATES AND HIGH-BULK, LOW SHEAR TOPSHEETS
An absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable nonwoven topsheet having a bulk greater than or equal to 10 cm.sup.3/g, a backsheet, and one or more absorbent laminates disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. Each of the laminate(s) can comprise one or more substrate laminae, each comprising a nonwoven or tissue, and one or more absorbent laminae, each comprising SAP particles.
