ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention provides for an absorbent article that includes a topsheet, backsheet and absorbent core. The absorbent core includes a fibrous material and a particulate superabsorbent polymer composition. The superabsorbent polymer composition exhibits advantageous performance of absorption rate, surface tension, bulk density, centrifuge retention capacity, absorbency under load, gel bed permeability and particle size.
Absorbent articles with different types of channels
An absorbent article has a front side, a back side, a longitudinal axis and includes a liquid permeable topsheet on the wearer-facing side, a liquid impermeable backsheet on the garment-facing side, and an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes a core wrap having a top side and a bottom side, an absorbent material having a deposition area between the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap, and at least two channels substantially free of absorbent material within the deposition area. In a first type of channels, the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are bonded to each other. In a second type of channels, the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are not bonded or are less bonded to each other than in the first type of channels.
Organic cotton surface nursing pad
Described is a cotton surface nursing pad having both a proximal side and distal side. The proximal side is formed of a surface layer made of certified organic cotton, while the distal side is formed of a leakproof film later. Sandwiched between the surface layer and leakproof film layer are a first tissue layer, an absorbent core layer, and a second tissue layer. Notably, the absorbent core layer is formed of a combination of super absorbent polymer and fluff pulp, while the certified organic cotton is woven together using a half-cross pattern to form the surface layer.
Absorbent articles with different types of channels
An absorbent article has a front side, a back side, a longitudinal axis, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes a first type of channels, wherein the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are bonded to another, and a second type of channels, wherein the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are not bonded or are less bonded to one another in this second type of channels than in the first type of channels. The absorbent material may also include cellulose and superabsorbent particles.
DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A disposable absorbent article is provided having an absorbent core located in a chassis and including absorbent particulate polymer material defining at least one cavity. The absorbent core may be substantially cellulose free or comprise a combination of particulate absorbent polymer material and wood pulp. Methods for making such an absorbent core and corresponding disposable absorbent article are also disclosed.
Absorbent articles with different types of channels
An absorbent article has a front side, a back side, a longitudinal axis, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes a first type of channels and a second type of channels. The first type of channels have bonds with a Static Peel Force Time which is higher than the Static Peel Force Time of the second type of channels.
MULTI-LAYERED ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article for menstrual and/or incontinence purposes, having a unique two-layer acquisition and absorbent structure. The cover layer includes a nonwoven material. The absorbent core includes multiple strata including super absorbent, fiber material that is pulp and/or bicomponent fibers, and a binder material. The total thickness of the absorbent article is less than or equal to the thickness of absorbent articles of similar absorbent characteristics. The absorbent article includes various absorbent properties that are improved despite parity or reduction in overall thickness.
ABSORBENT STRUCTURES AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING ABSORBENT STRUCTURES
Absorbent structures and methods of manufacture are disclosed. In one embodiment, an absorbent structure may comprise first and second substrate material layers and a mixture of superabsorbent particles and adhesive disposed between the first and second substrate material layers. The superabsorbent particles may be disposed in an amount greater than 400 gsm, and the adhesive may be disposed in an amount less than 5%, by weight, of the weight of the superabsorbent particles, and the adhesive forms a three-dimensional mesh network comprising network adhesive filaments with the superabsorbent particles immobilized within the mesh network, and the network adhesive filaments extending substantially throughout a three-dimensional space defined by the network adhesive filaments and the superabsorbent particles.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH HIGH PERMEABILITY SAP
An absorbent article, such as a diaper, comprising a liquid-permeable topsheet, an upper acquisition-distribution system, an absorbent core comprising a layer of superabsorbent polymer particles disposed in a core wrap and a liquid-impermeable backsheet. The superabsorbent polymer particles are preferably not mixed with cellulose fibers. The upper acquisition-distribution system is substantially free of unbonded cross-linked cellulose fibers. The superabsorbent polymer particles have an UPM value of at least 45 UPM units and preferably an EFFC above 23 g/g. The absorbent core optionally comprise channel-forming areas. The absorbent article optionally comprises a lower acquisition and distribution layer.
