The rod implement has an outer surface configured to provide a visible portion of said rod implement. A decorative element joined with said outer surface. An inner surface configured to engage the edge of the peripheral portion. A channel section with a generally concave shape that is configured to receive the edge of the peripheral portion. And, a fastening mechanism configured to join with said inner surface, wherein said fastening mechanism is deformable upon engagement with the edge of the peripheral portion, and wherein said deformation is configured to create a spring tensioned force that firmly retains said device to the edge of the periphery portion.

The prongs are used to retain precious stones including diamonds, and are also used to retain semi-precious stones. The jewelry products in which the present invention prongs are used include rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, bangles, any other jewelry pieces where prongs re used to retain at least one stone. The prongs have the tops modified with a stylized faceted setting. The prongs are cut with a full prong having a double cut and a single prong having a half shape. The prongs are cut with many different shapes including round, square, diamond, flower, oval and marquise.

A method for setting a central gemstone is disclosed. The central gemstone may be mounted on a triangular cone. The triangular cone maybe configured to receive a first tapered end of the central gemstone. Further the method may comprise pressing a lower plate against a top plate. The triangular cone is on the lower plate. Further lapping the central gemstone with a plurality of gemstone, mounted on the top plate, such that plurality of edges of the plurality of gemstone overlap an edge of the central gemstone at broadest diameter in horizontal plane. The method may further comprise soldering a plurality of metal bars, positioned on the periphery of the top plate, with the lower plate at a lower base.
