ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING A MULTI-COMPONENT TOPSHEET AND LEG CUFFS
The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article including a topsheet including a second substrate disposed at least partially intermediate a first discrete substrate and a third discrete substrate. The first discrete substrate opposes the third discrete substrate about a longitudinal axis of the topsheet. The first discrete substrate and the second discrete substrate are bonded in a first bonding zone about a longitudinal axis of the topsheet. The third discrete substrate and the second discrete substrate are bonded in a second bonding zone about a longitudinal axis of the topsheet. A pair of leg cuffs have free terminal edges and are joined to the topsheet and/or backsheet. The distance between the free terminal edges is not longer than the distance between an inner edge of the first bonding zone and an inner edge of the second bonding zone.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH A CHANNEL-FORMING AREA AND A MASKING LAYER
An absorbent article comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core comprising an absorbent material and a core wrap is provided. The core comprises at least one channel-forming area that is substantially free of absorbent material. The absorbent article comprises a masking layer between the bottom side of the core wrap and the backsheet. The masking layer and the bottom side of the core wrap are only partially bonded to each other at their interface, the interface thus comprising a bonded portion and an unbonded portion, wherein the channel-forming area at least partially corresponds to the unbonded portion of the interface, so that when the absorbent material swells, the masking layer can decouple from the three-dimensional channels.
Absorbent articles and methods of making
An absorbent article comprising an absorbent core sandwiched between a liquid permeable topsheet and a liquid impermeable back-sheet, and an acquisition distribution system positioned between said topsheet and said absorbent core, wherein the absorbent core comprises absorbent material selected from the group consisting of cellulose fibers, superabsorbent polymers and combinations thereof, wherein said absorbent material is contained within at least one core wrap substrate enclosing said absorbent material, and wherein a top layer of said core wrap is adhered to a bottom layer of said core wrap to form one or more channels substantially free of said absorbent material, wherein said channels have a length extending along a longitudinal axis and the absorbent core has a length extending along said longitudinal axis and wherein the length of said channels is from 10% to 95% of the length of said absorbent core and wherein said channels each follow a substantially continuous path such as from a first end of a channel to a second end of the same channel wherein the acquisition distribution system is multi-layered and comprises at least one spunbond layer and at least one meltblown layer, and wherein said acquisition distribution system is positioned between said absorbent core and said topsheet such that said spunbond and/or meltblown layers are in direct contact with said absorbent core and said topsheet.
IMPROVED ABSORBENT ARTICLE FOR LIQUID STOOL MANAGEMENT
The current invention concerns an absorbent article (10) comprising an absorbent core (12) sandwiched between a liquid permeable topsheet (14) and a liquid impermeable backsheet (16), and an acquisition distribution layer (18) arranged between said topsheet (14) and said absorbent core (12), wherein the absorbent core (12) comprises at least an absorbent material layer. According to the invention the topsheet (14) consists essentially of an air-through bonded nonwoven layer and is free of spunbond nonwoven layers, the acquisition distribution layer (18) comprises a spunbonded and/or thermocarded nonwoven layer, and the absorbent core (12) comprises at least one channel (26) free of absorbent material. The invention also relates to the use of such an absorbent article (10), for managing liquid stool.
Absorbent Article
An absorbent article has an absorbent body with a colored fiber layer colored in a different color from a color of any member other than the absorbent body across a whole in a front-back direction and a width direction thereof. The colored fiber layer is visually recognizable from an outside.
ABSORBENT CORE WRAP WITH A LOW BASIS WEIGHT NONWOVEN IN THE BOTTOM LAYER
An absorbent article includes an absorbent core having an absorbent material enclosed in a core wrap having a top layer and a bottom layer. The bottom layer of the core wrap comprises a nonwoven comprising synthetic fibers, which has a basis weight from about 6 g/m.sup.2 to about 10 g/m.sup.2 and the nonwoven has a static coefficient of friction as measured in cross-machine direction of no more than 0.40.
Absorbent Article and Method of Manufacturing Same
An absorbent article has an absorbent body obtained by mixing and accumulating fibers and high absorbent polymer particles. A wrapping sheet includes an intermediate part located on a front face side of the absorbent body and both side parts folded back to a back face side of the absorbent body from the intermediate part. Distal ends of the both side parts of the wrapping sheet are overlapped on the back face side of the absorbent body to form a connecting portion. A total weight of the high absorbent polymer particles is larger than a total weight of the fibers in the absorbent body. A content rate of the high absorbent polymer particles of the absorbent body increases stepwise or continuously from the back face side toward the front face side.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH HIGH ABSORBENT MATERIAL CONTENT
An absorbent article comprising a pair of leg cuffs with an raised section and an absorbent core comprising at least one channel at least partially oriented in the longitudinal direction of the article. The article may have a crotch width before use as measured between the proximal edges of the leg cuffs at the level of the crotch point of from to 70 mm to 200 mm, and a Relative Crotch Width Reduction (RCWR) of 32 mm/kg to 150 mm/kg.
Absorbent article with leg cuffs
A disposable absorbent article may include a chassis that includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a leg gasketing system. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff; the inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge, and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded laterally outward to form the inner cuff folded edge, and the leg gasketing system further including a leg gasketing system pocket with an opening on an inboard longitudinal edge of the leg gasketing system pocket. The disposable absorbent article also includes at least one channel in the absorbent core.
