Absorbent article having a cavity portion and a projection that fits in the cavity portion
In an absorbent article (200), a pair of slits (40) each extending in a front and rear direction with a predetermined width is formed in an absorbent body (23) at a front and rear direction region at least at a crotch portion (C2) such that to section a first portion (11) at middle, and a second portion (12) and a third portion (12) at both sides of the first portion in a width direction, respectively, projection portions (23P) projected toward both sides in the width direction at middle in the front and rear direction of the first portion (11) are included in the absorbent body, and cavity portions (23D) in which the projection portions (23P) fit outwardly in the width direction are formed at a front and rear direction position corresponding to the projection portions (23P) in the second portion (12) and the third portion (12), respectively.
MULTI-LAYER ABSORBENT CORES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Absorbent cores comprising a layered structure and methods of manufacture are disclosed. In one embodiment, an absorbent body may comprise a top layer comprising a liquid permeable web material, a bottom layer comprising a web material, and a reinforcement layer disposed between the top layer and the bottom layer. The absorbent body may further comprise a first absorbent layer disposed between the reinforcement layer and the bottom layer, the first absorbent layer comprising absorbent material which comprises substantially only superabsorbent material and a second absorbent layer disposed between the top layer and the reinforcement layer, the second absorbent layer comprising absorbent material which comprises absorbent material. The body may also comprise adhesive disposed between the top layer and the second absorbent layer, between the second absorbent layer and the reinforcement layer, and between the first absorbent layer and the bottom layer.
ABSORBENT CORE WITH TACKIFIER-FREE ADHESIVE
An article with an absorbent core having a first absorbent layer and a second absorbent layer is presented. The first absorbent layer has a first substrate and the second absorbent layer has a second substrate. The core includes superabsorbent polymer material deposited on the first and second substrates. A fiberized net structure covers the absorbent polymer material on the first and second substrates. The fiberized net structure includes a substantially tackifier-free adhesive.
ABSORBENT CORES COMPRISING A SUPERABSORBENT POLYMER IMMOBILIZING MATERIAL
Described herein is an absorbent article having an absorbent core. The absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer material and a superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material includes from about 20% to about 70% of a first polymer and from about 30% to about 80% of a second polymer. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material has a Shear Viscosity at 10 (1/s) at 230 C. of from about 300 mPa.Math.s to about 10,000 mPa.Math.s.
Absorbent articles with improved strength
An absorbent structure for an absorbent article, comprising a first substrate and an absorbent layer supported thereon, said absorbent layer comprising an absorbent material comprising a superabsorbent polymer material; wherein said absorbent structure comprises a fiberized net structure to at least partially immobilize said absorbent layer onto said first substrate, and whereby said fiberized net structure has a storage modulus (G) at 21 C. of greater than about 1.210.sup.6 Pa.
Method for Manufacturing Absorbent Article and Absorbent Article
To make it possible to manufacture an absorber having a reinforcing layer sandwiched between a plurality of accumulation layers with simple and compact equipment An accumulation material in an absorber mold at a first accumulation position and a second accumulation position disposed in this order on an outer peripheral surface of a fiber accumulating drum at intervals in a rotational direction of the fiber accumulating drum, and supplying a belt-shaped reinforcing layer formed of a nonwoven fabric or the like, passing over the absorber mold on the outer peripheral surface of the fiber accumulating drum and continuous in the rotational direction of the fiber accumulating drum between the first and the second accumulation positions to form, in the absorber mold, an absorber including a first accumulation layer accumulated at the first accumulation position, a second accumulation layer accumulated at the second accumulation position, and the reinforcing layer sandwiched therebetween.
Absorbent articles with improved cores
Absorbent articles and absorbent core structures with improved core strength and stability with long core end seal and channel hang times.
Absorbent Article
An absorbent article includes an absorbent element obtained by wrapping an absorbent body in a wrapping sheet. The wrapping sheet includes an intermediate part located on one side of a front side and a back side of the absorbent body and both side parts folded back to the other side of the absorbent body from the intermediate part. The both side parts are overlapped with each other on the other side of the absorbent body. An overlapped part is bonded through a hot melt adhesive to form a connecting portion. A surface of the absorbent body on a side of the connecting portion is bonded to an internal surface of the wrapping sheet through hot melt adhesives, and the connecting portion of the wrapping sheet extends in a width direction to extend over both widthwise sides of a slit provided in the absorbent body.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
Disposable diaper
A disposable diaper includes: a first inflected unit formed in an absorber and extending along a product widthwise direction; a second inflected unit formed in the absorber, extending along the product widthwise direction, and positioned towards a rear waistline unit from the first inflected unit; and a crotch unit formed between the first inflected unit and the second inflected unit. The size of the crotch unit along the product longitudinal direction is 30 mm or more and 150 mm or less in the natural state of the disposable diaper.
