Insert patch with liquid barrier
A disposable absorbent underwear product includes a garment layer, an absorbent insert, a non-woven patch, and a barrier. The absorbent insert has a fluid-impermeable base layer, an absorbent core, and a fluid-permeable top layer. The non-woven patch covers an end of the absorbent insert. A first portion of the non-woven patch is adhered to both the fluid-permeable top layer of the absorbent insert and the garment layer with an adhesive. A second portion of the non-woven patch is free and forms a pouch. An end portion of the absorbent core is disposed adjacent to the second portion of the non-woven patch. The barrier extends along a width of the absorbent insert. The barrier extends through the fluid-permeable top layer of the absorbent core and connects the fluid-impermeable base layer and the one non-woven patch to direct fluid flow to the absorbent core and militate against fluid overflow.
Strand-based laminates in absorbent articles
Absorbent articles comprising a multilayer outer cover comprising a first outer layer and a second outer layer comprising a component that exhibits at least partial elastic recovery after mechanical activation in the machine direction; an inner layer, disposed between the first outer layer and the second outer layer, the inner layer comprising elastic strands; and wherein at least one of the first outer layer and second outer layer is laminated to the inner layer.
LOW TACK HOT-MELT PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVES
The invention relates to a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising at least one styrenic block copolymer, at least one tackifying resin, at least one mineral oil and from 4 to 15% by weight of at least one wax selected from the group consisting of paraffin waxes, Fischer-Tropsch waxes, ethylene-vinyl acetate waxes and any mixture thereof, based on the total weight of the hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive composition. The invention also relates to an article comprising a surface coated with such a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive composition, to a use of such a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive composition and to a process for preparing such a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive composition.
FEMININE HYGIENE PAD WITH ADVANTAGEOUS LATERAL GATHERING FEATURES
A feminine hygiene pad having an absorbent structure is disclosed. The absorbent structure may have a plurality of central compression zones disposed in a middle region of the pad, each of the plurality of compression zones being defined by a generally longitudinally-oriented shape having a forward terminus proximate a forward end region of the pad and a rearward terminus proximate a rearward end region of the pad, and an average width between the forward terminus and rearward terminus of 0.5 mm to 2.0 mm, wherein each of the forward terminus and rearward terminus lies no more than 30 percent of the length of the pad, from the lateral axis.
TACKIFIED HOTMELT ADHESIVE
An hotmelt adhesive for absorbent article (20), wherein the hotmelt adhesive comprises at least one low molecular weight metallocene-catalyzed polyolefin, at least one high molecular weight polyolefin having a peak molecular weight of from 130,000 g/mol to 700,000 g/mol and at least one tackifier. The hotmelt adhesive comprises less than 10% by weight of mineral oil. The hotmelt adhesive is particularly useful to form a core wrap bond (82, 84, 86) and/or a patch-to-core bond (78).
Disposable wearing article and method of bonding perforated nonwoven fabric
To certainly fix the peripheral portion of a hole to a support sheet without losing flexibility. The above problem is solved by providing a cover nonwoven fabric in which a plurality of holes penetrating front and back surfaces at intervals, and a liquid impervious sheet in which the cover nonwoven fabric is bonded via a hot melt adhesive, in the cover nonwoven fabric, the peripheral portions of the holes are warped portion warped toward the liquid impervious sheet side, at least a tip portion of the warped portion of the cover nonwoven fabric has an adhesive portion bonded to the liquid impervious sheet via the hot melt adhesive, and a portion of the cover nonwoven fabric other than the adhesive portion is not adhered to the liquid impervious sheet.
Absorbent article
Provided is a disposable diaper (1) which includes an absorbent member (4) and a topsheet (2). The topsheet (2) includes a first sheet (20) and a second sheet (21). Both sheets (20) and (21) are partially joined to form a plurality of joined regions (22), and the first sheet (20) has a plurality of projections (23) which protrude from the second sheet (21) toward the wearer's skin side at a portion other than the joined regions (22). The projections (23) include first projections (23A) and second projections (23B) and, when the topsheet (2) is viewed in a plan view, a second projection region (23R) is formed which includes the second projections (23B) surrounded by the plurality of first projections (23A). When the topsheet (2) is viewed in a plan view, the joined regions (22) include an inner joined region (22A1) in the second projection region (23R).
Method and apparatus for making disposable absorbent article with absorbent particulate polymer material and article made therewith
A method for making a disposable absorbent core comprises depositing absorbent particulate polymer material from a plurality of reservoirs in a printing roll onto a substrate disposed on a grid of a support which includes a plurality of cross bars extending substantially parallel to and spaced from one another so as to form channels extending between the plurality of cross bars. The plurality of reservoirs in the first peripheral surface are arranged in an array comprising rows extending substantially parallel to and spaced from one another. A disposable absorbent article and apparatus for making an absorbent article are also disclosed.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING ODOR ABSORBING MATERIAL
An absorbent article includes a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. The absorbent core contains superabsorbent polymer material and about 10% or less by weight of cellulosic fibers. The backsheet comprises a film comprising a plurality of micropores.
